There are a million owl hats on you tube but this is by far the cutest I have seen. I love it, thank you for the video. Do you have or can you do a video or written pattern to make it bigger for an older child or would that be as simple as just continuing on with the band until you reach the desired head circumference size before joing the band? I made it with cream ribbing grey background cream eyes black beak black eyelashes and grey and cream ears, you can also use white instead of cream there's not much differences just cream looks warmer. I LOVEEE ITT😁

I love your pattern and i love the way you explain it all. there is only on thing do you think you can show us after you make the band and we add another color and we make one row of it how do we tie the row together and we add another HDc in the change 2 chain before tying it together ?I am getting a ridge all the way up my cap where i tie the rows together is that what its suppose to do ?

I'm having a problem, when I crochet the purple part of the hat I seem to get an extra stitch added onto every round. And it fans out and makes a bump. Why is this happening? I thought it might be because when I join on every round I also do a hdc in the joining knot but that what you tell us to do. Help me please!!!!

Well I usually recommend to count your stitches in the first round. Then count each round as you go. You also must be placing a stitch in the "last stitch" that is not a stitch. There is a space that looks like a stitch. You want to ignore it and slip stitch to the top of the first stitch. Thank you for watching!

Im sorry. I didn't include that part to save video time. Using your yarn needle just grab a scrap of yarn. Thread the needle, and lay the hat flat. Use pins if you have them and set you the eyes and nose. Run the needle back to front around the outside of each eye. And the nose. Finish off. Thank you for watching and commenting! Gaby, just pause or go back until you get it figured out. You can also adjust the speed of the videos on you tube by clicking on the tools section in the lower right of each video.
