if you havent bought the hue+ yet, you could use an arduino and individually addressable led strip and program your own. thats whats going in mine. there are already preset programs out there to put onto the arduino so you dont have to code your own if you dont want to. advantage would be that you have the option to program your own light animations as opposed to preset ones

Thank you for this! I just purchased a Corsair 760T and was looking to find a PSU shroud to work in the case. I am not using any of the hard drive bays, only the M.2 and the SSD's. Won't the plastic start get deformed if the PC hold anything between 40-70 C (when heavy load) over long periods of time, as well as the spray paint colour, is that heat resistance and wont catch fire? Like if paint for example the ceramics on the outsided of an oven or evenm a stove a bit away from the heating plates you still need to use special paint that won't melt and potentially catch fire. I'm asking as I really like my CM Storm Stryker case except that it lacks a PSU Shrowd/Cover and I'd like to make one myself.

@predragjanjic64727 жыл бұрын
Dietec thanks. Where do you get the plexiglass stuff? I had the volume down while watching the video. I might have missed it if you mentioned it in the video
@DIYTechTube7 жыл бұрын

@cscene47 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't you attach the shroud to the case so it doesn't come off when you move the case? Also, is a hair dryer enough for bending the acrylic, or do I absolutely need a heat gun?
@DIYTechTube7 жыл бұрын
+cscene4 You could attach it if you want but I never really move my case and when I do, it's because I want to mess with the inside and so not attaching it is better for me. You can use a hair dryer no problem
@cscene47 жыл бұрын

Can you tell me the dimensions you cut that acrylic to? It just so happens that I wanna make a shroud for the Define r4 as well :) Only difference is I want it to extend only a bit before the screws to the right on the bottom mounted 140mm fan intake. I used the 140mm fan mount screw hole on the right closest to the side panel to mount a Cooler Master GPU holder and I don't want the shroud to block it. Thanks and sweet video man! Great video, great job. I am going try the same type cover for my psu. I am a little confused with the painting though. Did you "lightly scuff" at all first with sand paper? And did you just use a black automotive enamel spray paint, then added the white? Or is the first a primer? And finally does it have a glossy finish to it when done? Thank You
