WHAT COMES IN A DIY COUNTERTOP KIT?
Every countertop kit has each step pre-measured and packaged simplifying the installation process.
THE KITS INCLUDE:
1. Primer for creating an extreme bond to almost any
surface.
2. Texture Coat to give you that concrete base.
3. Scratch Coat to create the smooth polished like
surface of concrete.
4. Stains can be added during checkout to give
you unlimited color options.
5. Every kit comes with our most popular WB Urethane Top Coat whether its high gloss or matte finish.
THE SUBSTRATE
Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.
PRIMER COAT
Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Texture Coats.
TEXTURE COAT
Mix your pre-measured Texture Coat and pour it onto the countertop surface. Using a squeegee spread the Texture Coat out across your countertop. The crushed marble in the mix will allow you to spread the material out at the perfect thickness everywhere with ease.
SCRATCH COAT
Mix your pre-measured Scratch Coat and pour it onto the countertop surface. Using a metal scraper or trowel spread the scratch Coat out super thin filling in any low spots left from the Texture Coat
HIGH WEAR TOP COAT
We offer 2 different Performance Engineered Top Coats. The Urethane Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Matte finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and creates an extremely durable surface.

Jilleo19 Two birds I watched Tyler do these for a week every day. Decided to do it. Yesterday it was done. Looks fantastic and was actually a lot of fun. Pretty straight forward. Taping things off properly critical, it drips. Easy enough. If you can paint with a roller you can do this .

You need to waterproof the underside of the slab. There are many more details in their installation instructions that are not mentioned here. The prep of the slab can be quite a bit of work. They recommend Hardie backerboard slab for water locations.

For this project i would guess: - 6 standard concrete kits (50sqft per kit) = 3312 - tools and disposables = 200-250 - 3 days labor (?) 2 guys = 48x60(all in rate)=2880 total= 6442,- /300 sq ft.= 21,47 per square feet. an investment for minimal 10 years= 55 dollars a month to break. But yes it's quite expansive XD
