I have watched sooooo many videos on making a poly mesh tree, and this is BY FAR the BEST one I have found. It's quick and easy and looks better than all the others that take so much more time to make. It actually has the shape of a tree, many videos end up with something that is pretty much the same size at the top and the bottom! THANK YOU!!!! I am going to make these for my home and also a version of these with a bent over top to be Whoville/Grinch trees at my son's preschool. I too wish I could find the beautiful mesh you are using. Thanks again!

I have several rolls of this product that were used, hanging straight down from the ceiling, as backdrops for a photoshoot I did about 7 yrs ago. What a great idea to make trees from them! My rolls are gold and white but they'll make pretty Christmas trees, I think. Love the vibrant Christmas red and green you used in the video, contrary to what the previous poster wrote. Maybe the colors were off on her monitor because they're really pretty. Thanks for the video!

She needs a lapel mic as opposed to one sitting on a table or wherever then her voice could be heard clearly. Many crafters make this mistake.

I am going to try this with lights. Is really beautiful!!!!
@BFranklinCraftsM9 жыл бұрын
+Iveth Wright Yes, adding lights is as easy as wrapping the mesh. We like to place the lights first inside the cage. Make sure to leave the plug at the bottom for easy access. Or use the battery-operated lights. After the lights are in place, we add the mesh. It's really pretty with lights!

Hi Tammie, we do have a video on You Tube called How to make a Geo Mesh Wreath. To add the smaller 3" ribbon color - you add it the same way as the Geo Mesh. You can also add sets of 3 Christmas ornaments for that finishing holiday touch.

Can you use lights on the wire before you do the bows like when you use garland?
@BFranklinCraftsM10 жыл бұрын
Chris, that would be a wonderful addition. We would suggest using craft lights. They don't get as hot as regular Christmas lights. Have fun with your project!

Great Idea. Can you provide a list of materials needed?
@BFranklinCraftsM6 жыл бұрын
Good morning Crystal, Kristen mentions in the video the material you'll need which includes a tomato cage, some deco poly mesh ribbon, and some chenille stems to tie the ribbon. The quantity of deco poly mesh ribbon you'll need will depend on how full you want your finished project to be. It will also depend on how wide the ribbon is and how big your cage it. You may want to start with one roll of ribbon, but you may need two. As far as the chenille stems, you will need one pack and you can cut them in half to make more. Hope this helps! ~ Ben Franklin Team

Could you use a wide burlap ribbon to do this?
@BFranklinCraftsM10 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it would work with wide burlap ribbon too. Since it's not as wide, you'll probably need more rolls to make it as full as this one. Have fun with it! There's no right or wrong. Happy New Year!

Would you do poofs all the way, do you think it would still turn out looking as nice as this one does?! Thanks so much for this video!
@BFranklinCraftsM8 жыл бұрын
Yes, we did poofs all along the tomato cage. We would suggest doing the poofs as you go and if you feel you'd like more, you can always start over. That's the beautiful thing with this project, it's easy to redo it if you don't like the way it turned out. Have fun!

you show bigger trees being made with 2 ladies putting the mesh on them, but it keeps going back to the smaller ones.why doesn't it show that video
@BFranklinCraftsM9 жыл бұрын
Hi Lorraine, this video only shows how to create a small tree. I would think that creating a bigger version would use the same technique. I have not seen a video showing two ladies putting the mesh, so it may have been created by a different company. Let us know if you have any other questions. ~ Brigitte

Jeremiah Chapter 10: 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. 6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. 7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. 8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

Sorry, it's maybe just me but l really hate that multi colored mesh. It really looks too cluttered & busy plus the colors are really awful. The one colored ones are so pretty, even with lots of decorations, ribbons & lights. Look at all the other videos & see what l mean. I hare to be rude but l am just being honest. Ask others & if they are not embarrassed for you they will be honest too. Your method is great just color choice that is gross.

Good morning Kathrine, thank you for sharing your opinion. We always learn from our customers' comments. Yes, the one color mesh is very trendy and beautiful.

Well, That is a difference of opinion. I like the different colors. The solid is very plain to me.
@terikasherrod49036 жыл бұрын
I'm with you...the two color is too busy and horrendous looking. This would be gorgeous with a single color. But I think the point they are trying to make is the method to create the tree itself.
