That is so lovely Dan, a great addition, and you did it all in the rain 🌧 great little elephant head, it worked out perfectly, I love it.

It was a tad cold 🥶. And I’m not sure it’s selling the idea of a water feature being winter. But it will Spring soon enough 😊. Thank you Jeanette 👍🏼😊😊😊

I adore your new fountain, Dan! Très chic!! You've made it look so simple to do, even I could do it! A treat to enjoy in the garden for years to come!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend, my friend! I'm off to walk the new pup before my furniture arrives (after waiting a mere 4 months for it) lol! A week of assembly will commence thereafter! Cheers to the weekend!! 🍻💚

Nothing like a good walk to set you up for a few days of furniture assembly 😂. Maybe get a beer chilling to crack open when it gets too much 👍🏼

True enough Dan, the warm up! LOL After a good warm up, and assembly exercise, I completely concur.. a beer or more will be in order! Cheers!! 🍻💚 @@TheEnduringGardener

We are doing something similar this summer. Can’t wait to hear the sound of water!

Another dynamic in the garden, more desirable in summer I’m sure !

We have a small wildlife pond that has newts in it. For many years we also used to have a large fish pond with water lilies, ghost koi,comets and goldfish. I used to sit and watch them. We gave them away after about 15+ years as it required quite a bit of maintenance with the fish waste etc. We did have a huge filter.

Hey Janet, I like the idea of putting a few plants in there, a water lily perhaps. Hopefully it will draw in a bit of wildlife too 😊
@janetwhincup80573 жыл бұрын
Yes, hopefully wildlife. The newts arrived in our wildlife pond on their own. Water lilies don’t take too well to be near running water. We had ours down the end of the pond away from our waterfall.

Good advice, thanks Janet. I’m thinking about creating a little pond too. That might keep my little boy entertained for a while.

Yes, ponds are good. All sorts of insects and creatures come and take up residence and you wonder how they know to come. My grandkids liked it and helped feed our fish, we had a cover over it to keep them from falling in.

Do you worry about what happens when it rains and the barrel overflows?
@TheEnduringGardener3 жыл бұрын
Not really, everywhere else is getting wet then too😎
