For general lay up basic Gelcoat is fine.

The fin roller, i need those, can i make one from plastic pipe, or maybe casting resin? Its damn hell expensive in my country, i can only find one store online selling it
@BillsBuildandRace5 жыл бұрын
There are many types of consolidating rollers - all of which work. A small bristle roller may be a cheaper alternative for you.

what are some alternatives for tooling gel coat that you could recommend?

Ì suggestion using a plaster casting mold would be easier ... good work
@BillsBuildandRace6 жыл бұрын
Not really. Plaster is strictly a one use material, plus with this job the first lay up was not for a mold, but produced the finished job itself. haven't seen may plaster parts fitted to race cars.

Hello sir I have a fiber glass front bumper but it broke in to 4 pieces and I fixed the main 2 big pieces and I'm missing one piece how can I restore that piece
@BillsBuildandRace10 жыл бұрын
It all depends on where & what shape the missing piece is. I showed one way how to do this in Magna Dirt Track Racer - Part 13 - Pitstop \. If your missing piece is more complicated a shape then email pics to me at redlina@bigpond.com& I'll try to advise you further. cheers, Bill
