Came here for the projects. Come back “every Tuesday and Thursday” for the music. Looking forward to hearing more of it. Just teasing about the T&Th thing. I thought you were insane and were going to burn out trying to keep up that pace. Glad you didn’t burnout. Keep up the great work, be safe, have fun, stay passionate, and make something!

What happened to getting a running start with the drill? ha! I have some of their dowel plug cutters. They work great! I've tried 3 other kinds of plug cutters, and these are the best. Also, fun fact: the first piece of walnut I ever worked with was from Kencraft. I called and ordered from them after watching one of your videos over two years ago. Great video, David!

Sweet look! Funny story, at Makers Central I tried out some square drive screws at the Robertson booth. They instructed me to put the screw onto the bit before screwing it in. I asked if I needed to get the screw started before screwing it to the board. I don't think they watch your channel. 😂😂

Sweet. Nearly didn't watch this but was amply rewarded with some classically poor taste humour and some motivation to try casting concrete! The "groove" between the lipping and veneered board is referred to as a "shadow line" and is used specifically for what you are hiding as it is close to impossible to make that joint consistently tight. The width is around 1/8" (3mm) and is a nice detail that is easy to achieve. Cheers, David.

Looking good.

Great project. Another tip I've seen for concrete casting is to wax the melamine for easy release. I guess one could use aluminum for the surround if the weight were too great with the concrete?

Love the way this project turned out, David. But I expect nothing less from the master! Have a video idea for you: Makers helping Makers. Simple premise, you travel a short distance to help out a maker in need. Say a really cool guy (Me!) who was building a cradle for his daughter and his first grandson. However, said cool guy was fallen by an arterial by-pass in his leg and is now 3 weeks kept out of his woodshop. He has only 10 spindles left to laquer before he can begin assembly. (Can you feel the tension?) Will he get back in his shop in time to complete the project by the end of May? Is there another Maker (David P.) wearing a cape and can save the day? Wow! What drama. That's a show I'D watch!! Lol!! Take it easy, Brother!
