How to Make a Fold Away Drawing and Cutting Mat

Come and join me as I show you how to make a fold away drawing and cutting mat! These mats are one of my favorite quilting tools in my quilt room! They are very portable and are great to take to quilt retreats and sew days! I also show how to make an inexpensive nonslip drawing board so be sure to watch to the very end!
Supplies for fold away drawing and cutting mat:
2- 9" x 12" thin boards (I used Masonite)
1- 13 1/2" x 20 1/2" batting
1- 15" x 21 1/2" cotton fabric
1- 3" x 12" cotton fabric
1 cutting mat ( 8 3/4" x 11 3/4")
1- 8 1/2" x 11" piece of sandpaper (400 or 600 grit)
3/4" foam board spacer
glue gun
glue sticks
spray adhesive
strong glue for mat ( I used Gorilla super glue)
protective gloves
Supplies for nonslip drawing/tracing board:
9 1/2" x 11 1/2" piece of foam board
9"x11" 400 or 600 grit sandpaper
9" x11" piece of non slip shelf paper
adhesive spray
