Awesome! I think creating my own fonts will be on my to-do-list in January. You always make things seem so easy… I bet it will be a steep learning curve for me 😁😎

OHHHH trust me, it's not easy for me at all! I was just "playing" with it for about 3 weeks, and also- I still think most of my fonts are weird and not pretty LOL It is super intuitive once you get started- and you can struggle a bit at first, but then ideas keep on coming and you just can't stop making fonts!

And by the way, it is possible to add non-standard characters as well. For example Hebrew characters. I've created my own font with Hebrew print characters, though it isn't possible to make a font with both print and handwriting Hebrew, so it would need 2 fonts if you wanted to offer both styles. I'll be happy to let you know how I did it.

iFontMaker is indeed hella fun ! As for Hebrew- Hebrew is not a standard language for this app, as far as I can see... But there's a built in option to add custom characters up tp 500 notes, so that should cover it. As for Hebrew hand write VS print- You'll always need 2 fonts for that- as the keyboard itself doesn't differentiate the two. However, you can make a TFF for handwrite, and a TFF for print, and sell them together as 1 product :)

This is such an awesome app! I love it! Thanks again for the tutorials! Janice from Canada. Question, Is it possible while making a font on the ifont maker, to accidentally make the same kind of font as someone else?

Hmmmm i think yes and no. I mean, a lot of the fonts are made to resemble the basic ones but with a "twist" like making the normal time new roman- but with dots and not fixed lines, and def someone else can think of that. Also, some people can be using a similar brish, or have similar handwriting. I actually made my latest batch of fonts using Calligrapher, and not iFont Maker, and I felt like it was more ME, since I did the design on Procreate using brushes I also made myself.

Hi, great videos learnt a lot from you. I have a question related to fonts about downloading free fonts. If you downlaod a free set of fonts from a free site and it is not cpomplete you have to do the small le3tters and numbers. How do you know what font it is. they gave a set for free but only capitals. I want to complete it so i can sell it. So how to what fonts they used. thanks

I'm confused about the question... If you download a free font- you already know the name of it, you downloaded it, no ? And also, I am not sure you can resell a font, even if it's free- you still need to see that it's free for reselling.

No I am sorry may be I did not explain properly. I downloaded a set of fonts from a public domain site. It has only capital letters in there I want to do the small letters and numbers. How do I know what font this is . I tired to use a software called what the font but was not able to discover. See for example creative fabrica have s set of strawberry fonts. They have only the capital letters . If you want to upgrade on that add the small letters amd the numbers how do yoh kow what fonts It is. The site does not give the font name

Do you mean the legal aspect ? I mean , once you made it it’s yours - you don’t trademark a font. You can trademark the name of the company But again those aren’t really necessary
