Hi am not sure what your doing wrong as the hat should have a flare from row 8-14 there should be no increases just cluster of three double crochet Chain one then continue in the next space . If it's not too much trouble you and redo it to see if you make a mistake. Sorry your having issues.

Hello Please I have a lil problem here So I understand the instructions but when I got to row 7 the hat started to ball up and instead of it increasing broadly it ended up going rather downwards Tnx in advance

Hi, I dont recommend doing another increase because your hat will turn out a bit bigger than I think you would want it to be, but if you want to do an additional row of of repeat of row seven you can. I hope this was helpful thanks for watching 🤗

Hi beautiful hat. But I am a bit confused for the first part you said 17 dc should be there and in row 2 you have 6 clusters of 2 in each space I tried and got more than 2 I am doing something incorrect?

Hi, Sorry your confused. Row one is double crochet plus chain one, the six cluster is =12 DC the Cain one is = 6 so that total in 18. You will end the Row with chain one so 17+1=18 . Hope this was helpful thanks for watching 🙂

Hi , For the diameter of the hat you can eliminate one of the increase rows and it will make the hat a bit smaller.

@@trinnn6073if you have a basic understanding of crocheting, especially granny squares this is a very simple instruction to follow….😅 “this space” is obviously referring to a chain space because that’s the only space made.
