Absolutely bud. I'm the same way. Some places and websites charge 50 to 100 bucks, I thought that's ridiculous when you can do it less than 15. Thanks for watching and the comment bud!

Awesome tutorial! Easy to follow but no important steps left out. For those interested in making the braided section a little longer, here's the lengths I used: Smaller inner cord length: 12' (aka 6' on each side) Longer Outer cord length: 38' (aka 19' on each side) Using these lengths I ended up with a 46" braided section.

Just got started using Paracord. Many styles out there for slings. Yours is so Cheap, easy and quick. Will be my first project. Very helpful on how you got the swivels attached. Many of the others tie them in right from the beginning and that requires you to know how long you want it off the bat. Yours allows you to vary the length as you progress through the weave. Well done!

Great tutorial, just an idea though: I am making a few of these, and I found that if you measure out the length you want the sling to be, you can just take the entire length of paracord, do a simple slip knot on one attachment, measure the length you want it to be and then do another slip knot on the other attachment, then start the macrame pattern. That way you have one very long piece of paracord instead of two shorter pieces. The whole point of using paracord is so if you need cordage, you have it. Just figuring that one long piece would be more useful than two shorter pieces in an emergency.
@JessSinha
@JessSinha 6 ай бұрын
You can also double the center section (the length part) so that you have even more paracord and a wider sling. :)

That's perfect! Thanks for the tip and watching. Also, you are absolutely right. Your suggestion makes a little more sense, in my opinion. As my Papa always used to say, "there's more than one way to skin a squirrel," lol. Thanks for the tip, and I'm definitely gonna give your way a try. I like the "making it more wide" approach. Thank you so much again for the comment and for taking the time to chat with me!

I'm not certain bud. I was thinking and couldn't really come up with anything. Unless you weaved around the original weave ya did and make the middle your first finished weave and then weave around it. Maybe that would widen it.. Hopefully I was able to explain that to where it's not too confusing haha.
