While I'm not a big fan of the paint job, I love the design. I would have made the handle look like ivory and made the stick a similar color to bill's.

Very cool demonstration of thermoplastics. I really want to try them someday. The wand is really exceptional, great work

Why would you post this? I'm knee deep in projects (literally and figuratively), but now you're inspired me to add a wand to my to-do list :D

Of the two wands, I have to say this one is the winner. Bill's wand, at first glance, reminds me of a knife sharpener. But that aside, both projects look like they're sturdy and well made. Perfect for running around the con without having to do hotel room repairs!

Love it. I really need to get some worbla and play with it one of these days. Some transparent red and orange could really make the fire paint job pop on this wand.
@defiance427 жыл бұрын
Feels like it's pretty hard to directly sculpt worbla with small details, did you try soldering iron to carve into this material?

That's so cool! Now I wanna make my own as well!

Does anyone know if you can mold worbla in silicone? It seems plausible, but I wanted to know just in case I ruined my piece.

You can make a silicone mold of just about anything, including Worbla.

Can you sand worbla
@SanzuFabrications7 жыл бұрын
Zach Robison You can sand it- and even dremel it too. Afterwards, its helpful to (very carefully) apply a little heat. That'll help all that fuzzy debris reattach to the piece. If you're trying to smooth it without using heat (so as to retain your shape), add several layers of Gesso and sand that.
@zachrobison32267 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice. Gesso is a great idea
