Ruskinricky appreciate the comment, and couldn't agree more! I consciously made a point on all of my videos to get into the meat of it quickly as there's nothing worse than waiting for ages while someone brags or pitches something. For a similar reason I haven't put ads on any of my videos either. 👍

I have put together a similar formula, and see if anyone would like to comment or make a suggestion. Use 1/4 tsp. of NoSalt brand, which has 640mg of potassium, then 1/4 tsp. Real Salt brand of sea salt, which has 530mg of sodium, put in 8 oz. of filtered water and drink it. Then I take two capsules of Magnesium Glycinate, which has 175mg of magnesium. Together this is a single serving, which I take in the morning.

Read up on supplementing with MCT C8 oil from coconut I use Qetomax myself as it's good value for money. But that's a personal choice there's lots of brands out there. Just make sure it's C8. It makes sure one is actually in ketosis by delivering ketones directly to the body. Read up on it. I find it helps with energy levels myself. ..but of course you'd have to see if it helps you personally and then decide. Taking a daily good quality multi vitamin is useful too. Stay healthy stay well! 😊

@ketokitchencollection8292
@ketokitchencollection8292 4 жыл бұрын
Animesh start off with only one and see how you feel. If you find you're still lethargic or are getting cramps (from lack of electrolytes) you could have a second. If you start having more than one regularly though it would be beneficial to calculate the entire amount of sodium and potassium you're having from all food sources in a day just to make sure you're not exceeding the recommended daily amounts for those minerals.

Here in the US we have Morton Lite Salt and it's a similar mix of sodium chloride and potassium chloride. The thing I don't like about the Morton Lite Salt is that it's iodized and when you mix it with water the iodine flavor becomes very strong. The iodine is such a nasty medicine taste that I sort of gag on it and it's hard for me to swallow. I need to pick up some cream of tarter and give that a try. It has to be better than gagging down that iodine flavored Morton Lite Salt.

@ketokitchencollection8292
@ketokitchencollection8292 4 жыл бұрын
Hi razz, it all depends on the food. The only way to tell 100% is to tally up the potassium in the foods you eat and see what the total is for the day. If you're short then you can supplement. I just supplement regardless, as it's unlikely food will always provide enough from day to day. Having said that though, if you an get it from food it's generally the better option. Hope that helps! 👍

I’m on the keto diet and today I had a big problem, which is why I’m watching this video. I think I got heatstroke, or maybe something similar. I was working very hard in the yard, in the Florida summer. Before keto, I replaced electrolytes with glucose, salt and potassium. I did that today (too late, and in an effort to prevent going to a hospital), which may have kicked my body out of ketosis. My questions are, will drinking these drinks (in the video) be effective for replenishing electrolytes during hard, physical workouts, or is sugar really needed for those situations?

I am good with your recipe except for the food dye. Not so healthy🧐 maybe try flavoring and coloring with something like berry flavored “Vital Reds” or other nutritional supplement powders. Only adds 2grams of carbs and packed with nutritional value😊👍

Can I use just Pink salt and lemon as an electrolyte ? I am saying this because I am having acid reflux disease

Mubashir pink himalayan salt is fine to get additional sodium, although it does not contain any other electrolytes. It's better than nothing at all though. The lemon is only for flavour if you need it, it has no appreciable electrolytes in it so it's totally optional. Hope that helps! 👍

To be honest I'm not familiar with acid reflux disease, so I can't give you an answer to your question sorry. I expect the best person to ask is your doctor.

@@traceworld6571 it's all about your gut biome. Buy plain probiotic whole milk stonyfield yogurt. I eat daily also eat fermented foods like pickles, saurkrat, and others. Drink prebiotic & probiotic tea in the morning. It solved my acid reflux.

I’ve donated plasma a few times few months ago and felt terrible ever since. Few times a day like I’m going lose consciousness. Would taking this couple times Day be more helpful? 🙏 thanks

Hey Mark, great video- thanks. What do you think about adding a little stevia?
@ketokitchencollection8292
@ketokitchencollection8292 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Meljon - any artificial sweetener that doesn't have a caloric value and doesn't effect insulin levels will be fine to add in to make it taste better. I'm not at all anti-artificial-sweeteners, but I do avoid them if I can though, I'm just not convinced yet that they're totally harmless over the long term, and I have a sneaking suspicion that I personally may experience some addictive qualities in them (not sure if they're 100% known for that but I've seen anecdotal evidence anyway). Try adding in some Stevia to make it more palatable, and slowly reduce the amount of Stevia you use over time until you're using none at all. You'll absolutely be able to get to this point with small minimal changes over time. 👍
