I’m sure I can find tons of inspiration from your videos. I’ve always wanted to have an eye for flower arranging, but sadly I doubt myself. I’m currently making a birdcage lamp and want a floral arrangement on top. I always do over the top bling and people (friends who mean well) tell me less is more, but I want to do me. I’m going to do me..

Wow!!! Astar, so beautiful . I love these......I am wondering what one would look like if it were in all pearls.....even if you had to buy loose pearls/beads and string them yourself.....I may try that and your's of course in the future.....You are definitely the "Craft Queen" of All things lovely....Blessings

Just wondering…could you use a silver Brillo pad as the base instead of making the ball made of those thin wires? Just a suggestion. I love your bouquets!
@AstarsPlace2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tysha, although it's a bit of a pain creating the wire ball frame, tbh it was the quickest & strongest method. Many hours of mucking around but it was stronger but not heavy when finished. Hope this helps, Astar

@@AstarsPlace Your work is stunning. I’m making one of these for my daughter’s upcoming wedding, may I ask where you bought the wire frame/posy holder that you use as a base. I love your packaging ideas too. Thank you.

Hello and thanks for reaching out. That's a great idea and something worth trying. I'm going to give it a go, but my thoughts are that it might not be strong enough to hold the weight of materials used. I'll keep you posted. Warm regards Astar

@@AstarsPlace Are you talking about the Brillo pad? I’m trying to find the wire frame you mentioned might be from Oasis. Unfortunately they don’t carry anything like that on their website.
@AstarsPlace7 ай бұрын
@lynettesadowy1863 hi Lynette, I've got a better solution. Just get silver wire and form it into a ball - size desired & then cut additional lengths to create a handle. I'd cut to say 16". Thread these long pieces through what will be the base of the bouquet. Pull through, fold in half to an even length. Twist to make firm. If you get stuck, direct message me to my @astarsplace on Instagram. I can video call you back at a time that suits. Warm regards Astar

Hi Astar, Im looking at making some of these, but having trouble sourcing the floral colllars. Can you tell me where i can find them please. Have tried Oceans, and a few others but nothing like it. Cheers Cindy
@AstarsPlace4 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy, do you mean the collar I used to finished the bouquets? If so, it's available from Oceans by the roll. The mental handles were knife handles which I picked up from the $2 store. The jewels etc, some where old some were gifted some also from the $2 store.
@cynthiapowell37534 жыл бұрын
@@AstarsPlace Hi Astar I mean the ones at the start you need to make into a ball and tease out a bit to attach the wire and brooches. You can get them in sliver and gold i believe.

Average costs for one of those?????
@AstarsPlace Жыл бұрын
Hello, that's a great question. The cost will depend on the unit cost of materials. I picked up a lot from a shop similar to the Dollar Tree. Cheap cheap cheap. I'd also gathered a lot over the years at Thrift stores. The metal cage or base structure, I think was around $5 from the florist wholesaler & the ribbon about $10 for a massive roll. The bouquet handle & wire??? Let's say another $10??? I hope this helps? Warm regards, Astar

I don't understand why don't you just use a Styrofoam ball it's much easier it seems like you're doing that the hard way
@AstarsPlace3 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephanie, I fully understand what you are saying but doing it this way gave me a much neater firmer finish. Kind regards Astar
