I want to have a tartan built for farming, green for grass, yellow for dandelion and wheat, white for daisies, light brown for earth, and 2 tones of purple for alfalfa. But the cost is crazy!

So, I have seen that some mills can and do 7 colors. Does this mean that these tartans would not be able to be recognized by the Tartan registry/

I really question what they teach you all in schools that a Scott wouldn't know that a tartan was not family specific until a large clothing company started making them and giving them family names and town names just to make it easier for people to order them
