fun fact!! in South Korea, there are these things called "couple rings", where couples, usually on there 1 year or 100 days or so will go to "ring making cafes" and literally make each other rings, almost just like this!! its so cool, i did it once with my bf, but im getting so inspired by these videos that im going to convince him to go back and make new ones haha
@JRenaeK4 жыл бұрын

It is more of norm to buy one together rather than making it. Also it can just be any rings as long its same
@lexycjune56844 жыл бұрын
Elena K I think it depends! For certain social groups making is the norm and for other its buying, however making is much more common in korea than any other place I’ve seen. And yeah that’s something really cool too, that the rings never have to be matching, it’s really nice if you have different styles ~

That's so beautiful omg
@myk79114 жыл бұрын
@@lexycjune5684 with all the respects i don’t know where you got that from I’m a Korean and I lived here for more than fifteen years. Sure there’s lots of various Crafts café, but there’re not alot of ring making ones. It can be a cute activity to do and im pretty sure some people do it, but most people just gift each other rings or make it together. But it makes sense thou ive never heard of ring making café in countries other than Korea. So i get where you coming from.

Just came across your channel for the first time!! I love this video so much 🥺 I just began my journey into metalsmithing and I’m currently working with silver for now. I’m so glad I came across this because I eventually want to incorporate rose gold into the pieces I want to create!! I was doing research on what solder to use for rose gold, but didn’t get too many confident answers lol. Do you have any recommendations on what I can use to ensure that the rose gold solder blends perfectly with the wire? Now that I’ve asked, it’s time to binge watch the rest of your content!! 🥰😂
@moderngoldsmith4 жыл бұрын
So glad you found me! I actually do use rose gold solder for rose gold. Sometimes the color match can be an issue, but if you have tight seams and don't use too much, it shouldn't be! Hope that helps.
