Tenderflake lard is sold in most grocery stores right near Crisco. I also use it to season my cast iron every time they are used.

I looks delicious! Lemon Meringue is my favorite dessert of all time. It’s so refreshing in the summer. I was born in July and my mom makes me lemon meringue pie on my birthday every year. (I turned 50 this year, so that’s a lot of 🍋 lemons). 😁 Merry Christmas to you and your family! ♥️🎄
Our grocery store on the east coast sells lard. It's hidden on an end cap. I use them in my prune tarts I make. So good!

Cream of tartar is uses as a stabilizer, and helps stiffen the whites. Lemon juice can be used as a substitute because of it's hi acidity. Use double lemon juice you would use of cream of tartar. Hope this helps 😁

This is my favorite pie! My grandmother always had them for me. Especially in the summer time. I was blessed with 2 sets of amazing grandparents. My other grandmother used to make her famous pecan pies every get together. I was allergic to nuts back then and she would make one without just for me. I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas. Love from Alabama.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Gods blessings from my family to yours. You can generally find lard in the freezer section. They have it at Walmart and Safeway in most locations. If your local store doesnt carry it, and you would like some. Go to customer service and ask them to carry it. They will give you a form and in a week they should have some.

Great video but would really like to see a video breakdown of all the supplies needed and how they are used. The jars, Mylar bags and oxygen packets. I have no idea where to get those packets from or how to use them in this process. If you can consider that for a video that would be super helpful! Thanks! 🤗

I have always used shortening in pie crust and we rendered our own lard from pigs we raised this year. I couldn’t believe how smooth my pie crusts were! Your pie is beautiful! Edited to add you can buy pig fat from some butchers or meat shops to make your own. My FIL does and loves it. It’s very easy to make yourself.
