Grandma Griffiths, you’re just adorable and a very lovely, wholesome lady. I really feel like I’m sitting there with you, watching and learning, enjoying a cup of tea and old family stories. I’m 54 years old and only recently taught myself how to make dinner rolls. My first attempt was a complete and gorgeous success, and I cried! So thankful for these wonderful basic recipes. God bless you and yours! 😋🥰

You reminded me of my grandmother when you began kneading the dough on the floor. In Mexico, women use a metate to grind up corn and to make cheese on the floor. You took me back 32 years!

As I was trying to figure out why in the world my dough was so sticky, you talked about what to do if it's sticky or just not working out and to make em and be proud of them anyway! I laughed then told my husband "these might be the ugliest looking rolls you've ever seen, but she told me to be proud, so I'm proud!" Haha! Loved baking with you today.

Jennifer thank you from the bottom of my heart I’m 64 and love to bake and cook but …. I had always been scared to make bread but I love yours and I bought your book last year so I always have the recipes. Found I’m never sure even after a few years of knowing when my bread is done all the way through so I turned more to rolls as that’s what we love more and I cook whole meal for hubby and white for me. I can’t use my hands due to arthritis but I still make t them I cut recipe in half and mix in my stand mixer. I make the cinnamon rolls too. I don’t know you personally but I’ve watched you over the years mostly on Bonnie’s channel and Ellies, I subscribe to everyone but those are the most ones I watch and of course yours. I think you’re an amazing wife, mother and grandmother among other things. When you talk to the camera, I feel like you’re here talking to me. I feel like you’re genuinely trying to help me. I would’ve given anything to have a grandmother like you. I love my mom she’s an amazing woman. I wouldn’t trade her for the world and I’m so blessed to have her. But the skills you have just from life are beautiful. I don’t know if you’ll ever say this, but I have already watched your bread video over and over and I’ll continue to watch it because you inspire me. To just be better. And to be proud of what I make for my children and my family. The world needs more people like you. Thank you for taking the time to share this beautiful videos.

I’m glad that there are videos like yours that can teach others how to cook. Some videos who do cooking videos thinking they’re helping teach people cooking aren’t really helping because they don’t explain things very well. Not every one knows the terms nor some other basics. I had 2 cooking classes in school. My mom tho she tried was not a great cook. But, she made bread. I learned that from her. I did not have you tube. I winged it. Besides learning from military daycare I worked in which I was in the kitchen. Found out I could make rolls out of my moms bread recipe and so much more. Your a great teacher on cooking. Even tho I’m 58 there are things I’ve learned that no one showed me or taught me. Thank you and happy thanksgiving. Practice makes perfect. I know it’s expensive if it does not turn out but, you learn by doing and from mistakes. Can’t learn if we don’t make mistakes.

I just made a new batch of bread yesterday. The hubby came into the kitchen, when I had just finished kneading and had set it to rise, remarking on how good it smelled. And before I could even say anything he noted that he knew it wasn’t baking but he could smell the dough. Plus he knew it wouldn’t be long before he got a slice of the bread hot from the oven, slathered with butter.

I’m sorry about your Mom in law. Bless your heart and thank you for your kind words. I’m glad I’ve been able to offer you a bit of comfort.

I love your recipe. Today, I realized that kneading the dough on my kitchen table standing up was the easiest way for me. It it is not as hard on the back!

Hi Jennifer! ❤ You're so right.. this is a wonderful, delicious roll/bread recipe! I make them every now and again, and always take a plate of hot rolls to my 86 year old neighbor who absolutely LOVES them! ❤ your sweet family! I feel so lucky to have ordered the hardback cookbook while they were available. I have made many of your family's recipes, and have NEVER been disappointed! Loafs (or rolls) of love from Texas! 🍞🥖
