I don't have her recipe but I use my own. I sold 48 jars this month at $15 dollars a jar and currently making more. Everyone is obsessed with it. Keep making them and keep selling them. People are definitely getting into magnesium cream right now.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique6 ай бұрын
thanks Ashley! I appreciate the encouragement. 48 jars in one month is amazing!!! Good for you! 😮💕 I thought about trying to make this into a cream instead of a lotion but I have so dang many of these bottles to use up. Maybe after they are gone I will switch. Do you make a lotion too? I'm trying to figure out what people would rather have.

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique I don't make a lotion, I just make the cream in potted jars and encourage people to put it on at bedtime and they are absolutely loving it. It's really thick, almost like a balm. I have 3 scents, lavender, bergamot and lemongrass. I'm not sure if you are familiar with Ellen Ruth, but I used her recipe and tweaked it a bit. Mind you, I am also a nurse and a lot of my customers are nurses so they are already familiar with the benefits of Magnesium. Maybe if you do markets, print up a little blurb on the benefits of magnesium, without making any claims for your product and this may help with sales.

One thing I started doing with things like liquid germall plus and polysorbate 80 was to replace the tops with those squeeze bottle tops. Makes things so much easier for measuring and dispensing. I also have oils in squeeze bottles and water as well for small batches etc. I don't know who I learned it from but it's a game changer ❤
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique6 ай бұрын
it certainly is! I love my squeeze bottles! Especially with liquid germall plus as it is so viscous it is hard to get right (am I the only one that struggles getting castor oil to not go over when adding to oils LOL)

I love magnesium creams and butters. I just don’t have the patience to do it. It really does work wonders.

Hi Aubrey! I know a lot of people swear by them. I don't use them often, but I think I might start putting them on my legs and feet at night. I need a bit of help in the sleeping department (Lily! - she likes to sleep with us and is worse than a little kid at taking up all the room. And she is 11 pounds!!!) 😂

Hi Tammy, love your videos. Please keep them coming. I believe magnesium chloride attracts water from the air (hygroscopic). This could be a reason to use it fairly quickly.

Thanks for that! That makes total sense! Thanks for watching and commenting Nancy! 🤗💗

What is the difference between emulsifying wax and beeswax?
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique17 күн бұрын
beeswax is a thickener, it will not take oils and waters and make them 1. they will separate without an emulsifier

dilution is one of the hardest things to understand. I went back through all of my past recipes, I don't think I tried that one but can't say for sure. I have been thinking about making some again soon - It has really been a long time. Good luck! Thanks so much for your comment and your kind words! 🤗

where can we find the full recipe? also, can magnesium sulfate be used instead of magnesium chloride?
@WalnutCreekBathBoutiqueАй бұрын
here is the recipe link for purchasing : www.patreon.com/createwithsoyandshea/shop/magnesium-lotion-18172?source=storefront I do not believe you can use the sulfate in place of the chloride - they are actually pretty different if I'm not mistaken good luck!

What software do you use to manage your recipes and cost of goods and batches, etc?
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
I use SoapMaker 3 for everything. I use if for my taxes as well. It's a beast and it can be a ton of work on setting everything up but in the end it is totally worth it. (I do have a whole playlist devoted to helping you get started if you choose to go that route) 🤗💕

I state within the first 10 seconds that I got the recipe from Soy and Shea, AND I linked her video and how to get the recipe from her. It would not be right for me to share anything more that what the ingredients are in the formula.

Was hard to watch because there was no list of ingredients near the beginning. Too much alcohol spritzing information.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique6 ай бұрын
I clearly stated that the recipe was from Keeley at Soy and Shea in the beginning of the video so that if you didn't want to watch or were just interested in the recipe you could go straight there also there are a lot of new makers that watch that really need to understand the sanitizing of surfaces, and that this is not a sterile environment. Feel free to skip info that you have no interest in or have no need of in videos - I do it all the time, it is just part of watching how-to videos.
