I said also, I don’t want yelling. I even told him. My mistake was telling him about my abuse. I was abused emotionally, mentally by family and yelling and fighting was normal. Then I attracted a man that would mentally and physically abuse me. I left that and said I would never allow someone to yell at me. Then I met someone and he was respectful until he yelled at me. And I said no that is it. And he yelled way after when we broke up. That was the last straw. And then he tried saying that he never emotionally abused me like my ex. I said you yelled at me and I told you, I am looking for a healthy relationship not this anymore. And yes I am learning to raise my standards.

I always give him everything and do everything for him . Anytime he needs something I get it for him. I get scared to talk to him about how I feel because I don’t want him getting mad at me and angry at me . I’ve told him that the reason I talk to other people is because I feel like I can’t talk to him because he might get mad at me or start being mean to me . Him wanting me to start talking to him and opening up to him , him knowing that still does it to me . Every time we have a fight he starts to be real nasty towards me and makes me feel stupid and like I can’t do anything . He has told me I wish u had a brain and insulted me whenever he gets mad or frustrated at me .

Hahah I didn't use to focus on only one guy but then my boyfriend was REALLY jealous so I had to show him that I'm focused only on him. After 1 year of long-distance (without meeting up in person at all), we reunite. Most of what we did was fight in long distance, but we didn't want to break up over the phone. We meet live and hug at first but I feel that the attraction is gone and that I don't like him like I used to- because I resented how badly he talked to me on the phone. He also snaps at me and tells me to shut up (disrespectful, and the opposite of how he valued me when we were together in person in the past.) After 3 years of long-distance, we couldn't stand each other anymore and disagreed on everything. It's like we were the worst fit for each other. He took me for granted during long distance because he made his life sound more interesting than mine. Long story short it's over and I realized after this experience that I had so much more to learn about love. Here I am, learning everything from the start.

I know it is so hard for us because we always focus on just one man even when there is no committment. Sometimes we believe there isn't anyone else who can love like that person. I learned this is a lie. There are so many men out there who are waiting to meet an amazing woman! There are so many men out there who can care in a different unique way. That is why, it is okay if things don't work out. If this guy won't follow your boundaries, there is a greater liklihood there is someone else who will.
