Nate, that is beautiful work. I now make jewellery after a near fatal accident whilst working offshore. I wish I'd discovered jewellery decades ago. Smelt all my own gold and silver and make pure into different karat. I'm going to make this piece and when I do I'll post it as a tribute to you. I'll put up a wee short of an unfinished solid silver and 18k sun/moon pendant. I finished it and forgot to take a video before I gave it to my wife's friend for her 50th. Thanks for the video and you have a new subscriber pal.👍🏴

If you use a citric acid pickle you can put steel in it and not worry. It takes a little bit longer but the hotter it is the faster it works. I use a regular sodium bisulfite pickle for most everything and keep a citric acid pickle on the side for chains and when I’m working around steel. Just toss your stuff in, heat it up to a boil, let it sit for 10-15 min and your stuff will come out immaculate. The Russian’s call it “bleaching” the metal because it works so well. Keep up the good work.
