Your hoop skirt and petticoat tutorials are the best! You really break them down in a way that's easy to understand. I'm definitely referencing them for making my first hoop skirt and petticoat for an upcoming project.

Just got the idea of making a crinoline base to give some pzazz to my halloween costume! I never sewn in my life (well, at least not seriously) and I'm happy I found this video! Seems easy to follow. At least I got how to plan it out haha! Hope I can make a decent job in such little time with no machine! Thank you for the tutorial!

Such a helpful tutorial !!!! Thank you !!! 💞 I have 2 little questions tho. First, can you sit easily with this ? Or do you have to be extra careful and sit like a victorian lady ? And second, can a crinoline work if it is slit ? Like if I want to make a dress that has a slit on the front and is puffy on the back, can I make a sort of half hoop skirt ? Or does that totally destroy the structure because you don't really have hoops anymore ?
@KirileeCosplay10 ай бұрын
Answers: 1. It is very easy to sit in, just lift the hoops slightly when you sit so they at on the seat with you. 2. If you add a slit it will not work in the way that is demonstrated in this video. There are ways that you can make an obliptical crinoline or even a lobster tail.

Can I use hard net instead of the normal satin channel so as to get a more fuller effect. This is because I’m to make a queen dress for my 7 years girl

If you would like too you absolutely can. Just remember that as she walks, the net might scratch her legs

How do you make boning to stay a circle like that? My boning tend to be twist and make spirals even after ironing. Can you give some tips?
