Yay!! Another petticoat tutorial!! Im definitely using this tutorial to make my Kiki cosplay from Kiki’s Delivery Service and it will be the base since I want to make a fluffy but short base before I make a large full ruffle to make it tea-length.

@@KirileeCosplay it helps a lot!!! I'm an addict for floofy skirts and being able to make frilly, frothy petticoats makes me happy.....mostly. Sometimes it's frustrating when you don't have enough fabric and have to order more and this has happened to me before.

Hii, have you ever done a video on different ways to hem different fabrics? Especially on organza and light fabrics or those “specialty“ hems like the ones with fishing line? I love your tutorials 🥰

Several years ago I used the OG petticoat tutorial to make a pink petti for my cat Sakura outfit. It took some time to work through the trauma of making that beast before gearing up to make another a few weeks ago but in black for another Sakura. I thought that was it, I thought I was done because I had one in white already... But now I feel that urge to close the gaps for my idol costumes by making all the short ones. Why must you do this to me? Why? In all seriousness though thank you for putting out these resources. I like how these ones are made from organza instead of the netting which made pinning so difficult and I cant wait to get stuck into another project that will continue to serve me for many years.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment. That’s the thing about petticoats - they are the part of the cosplay you don’t see, they take a long time to make BUT they can be used for multiple cosplays. The good news is this petticoat was quick to complete - I think about 4-5 hours? (Where the OG one took me 19) The organza is easier to pin but you do need to overlock all the edges! Good luck with your creations

Very clever!! Its been a long time I've used organza but when I do, I tend to seal the egdes with heat/a candle, like the ends of a ribbon. Overlocking is probably still faster, though!

I made TWO petticoats using your short petticoat tutorial (ribbon and all!) last year I gave them the name "Tapa calzones 3000" (Panty-cover 3000) and absolutely loved them! Now I was looking for a tutorial on how to make a stronger and shorter petticoat to lift a high-low circle dress and make it more fluffy, and turns out you did that as well!! You're a live saver, thank you so much. 💖 Btw, I'd love to translate the tutorials I've used in Spanish while making vlogs on the cosplays I make. If I credited you both verbally in the video and linked your video in the description, would it be okay to recreate them in Spanish? 😊

@@KirileeCosplay thanks for replying, if I want my dress to keep its shape even when it’s windy (for example, I don’t like when the dress get stuck to my legs), which fabric and type of petticoat should I use ?

I Guess i need to go back and watch the other tutorial again cause I forgot about it. I want to start wearing skirts a bit more but I need something to keep my shorts from attracting my skirt😅 Static is not my friend and I seem to make it on my own 🤷♀️

@KirileeCosplay6 ай бұрын
Sorry, it might be good to watch the video again and write it down
@SariniyaKiyu3 ай бұрын
organza/chew original measurements: 29cm x 25m // 11 inches by 25 yards you take the fabric and cut it like this: 2x 2 metres //2 yards rest of the fabric you cut into 4 parts by folding the rest of the fabric (so, if you dont want to worry for the math: 5,25 metres*) Hope it helped!

Perfect for Azur Lane characters! They all have such short skirt designs that my regular go-to petti has become too long 😂
