I just love and enjoy your videos !!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT I REALLY MISS???????? A shelf in the back ground - on the one side - with a couple of pots, plastic flowers, floral wire, bit & pieces... like it was in you old studio... Now, it looks so neat and tidy. It makes me feel bad... as my study, where I watch KZbin, looks [ is.. ] a mess !!!!
@FlowerJoos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You should see it just now though - it’s full of plants and a right mess - but I can tidy up 😀 Time is on our side though as those bits and bobs always creep in and add character 😀🌼🙋🏼♂️

A pleasure to watch and hear you work through the design. Your quite creative and clearly open to different! The vessel is lovely, so many options with that shape. I find the bigger ones intimidating but your use of moss has helped. Usually I equate bigger vessels with more product to fill, which equates to more cost. Now I see that doesn’t have to be the case. Bravo! 👏
@FlowerJoos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 you are right, you don’t necessarily need more material - just depends on the placement, and you can really showcase each piece. Thanks for watching 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼

Such a fun design John! I like that you referred to it as a sort of landscape. I love the little gerbera sun. I also love the square-ish palm leaves--so fun! I am so grateful for the information about agri wool (good and bad) because it's so important for us to think in terms of compost. As you said, it's not necessarily eco-friendly considering the way it is produced, but maybe it will signal manufacturers to make more eco-friendly floral foams and other products that are closer in convenience to floral foam. Thanks for using it once and a while to keep us modern and with it!
@FlowerJoos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 we do need manufacturers to really solve the problem of micro plastics in floral mechanics. But I think we are moving forward more than other industries - but a solution that is commercially viable is the answer. Thank you for your comments - and glad you could see the ‘sun’ 🌞 flowers should be fun I think 😀🙋🏼♂️

Well, Sir, you have intrigued me yet again! First off...that container. Nearly every video, I find myself having container envy. This one is no exception. I love it. And I like the arrangement very much - greens and yellows are among my favorite combinations and your examples are amazingly brilliant. As to the agra wool, I've not tried it, but the fact that the stem of that tall anthurium kept turning hasn't won me over. Wonderful design, John, and as before I love watching you work. One can "see" the wheels turning! ;) Best, always.
@FlowerJoos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Flowers and creating designs really do make my wheels turn - I know my container and my contents but there is a real element of the u known when you make a design - the materials can take you in a direction you didn’t anticipate. 😀 but that’s fun! Stay classy my friend 🙋🏼♂️🌼

I still can’t get on with the Agra Wool John! I do have a 1930s vase which is a similar shape to yours so I might give it another try. Your arrangement is beautiful and the flowers seem to hold well in it xx
@FlowerJoos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 someone suggested a touch of cold glue on stems that might twist so that is worth a try 😀 I think a dish with a little depth is the ideal when using Agra wool . 😀🙋🏼♂️
