Leave an opening in the cross piece and you can put the elec plug wire through it and that will also keep the pad in place. Nice idea!

This seems like a great idea. I have to say that I have this "liner" under my foot pedal. It does NOT work on hardwood floors....pedal slips away just like without anything under it! Frustrating ....

I found it difficult to get the binding on, 1. the rubber sticks to the machine, 2. I have to pull the binding behind the pressure foot, and the binding seems too narrow to go round the rubber and also keeping the rubber straight. It turns out wobbly after sewing.

I’m not sure how that strip works on the pad. I wish you showed how that actually works In Conjunction with the pedal placement. Front of the pedal or behind the pedal. I’m sure I will figure it out.

My house is 100 years old and I have hardwood floor throughout the house. I've been using some of the non-slip shelf liner under the pedal for some time, but it still migrates and my foot has to search for it all the time. Such a bother!! Ha! Think I might have to put a rug of some sort under the machine cabinet. Maybe THEN that darn pedal will stay put! Not too thrilled with the rug idea because of all the thread that will fight being picked up.
