I use a needle point tracing wheel to just trace around any pajama pant, shirt or anything placed over a piece of paper. It takes only a minute to trace and a minute to connect the hole dots with a marker for cutting out a pattern. Put away the rulers and dividers and just sew it. No special patterns to buy, see something you like and just trace it with a needle wheel. IF YOU CAN NOT BUY A NEEDLE WHEEL, JUST HOT GLUE NEEDLES TO A ROUND CARDBOARD AND PUT A NAIL IN THE CENTER TO A STICK AND THAT'S IT NO MEASURING OR GOING BROKE BUYING ALL KINDS OF STUFF AND MEASURING ALL DAY. It works and no math!

Your patterning is even clear enough for me to understand. However, I sleep on my side and pajamas without an awfully uncomfortable side-seam are hard to find. Since your side-seams run straight up and down, can I use it as FOLD line instead, with the front and back seams at the edges of the folded piece? This would make the pattern consist of TWO panels instead of FOUR. Would that work out or would it spoil the fit? I once disassembled an old PJ bottom with no side-seam and used the pieces as a pattern, but the new PJ came out too tight and uncomfortable - I obviously did something wrong. I appreciate the videos I've watched so far. Thank you for your input on the PJ bottom issue.

I don't get it. Isn't the pattern is drafted by actual measurements of the wearer? Then why should I fold it so it can fit the wearer if she's petite? Can someone explain please?

The measurement for the hip width is wrong for medium in the chart, I take it its meant to be 121/2? Also KO measurement for notches/ errors... Looks like from. Your ruler than the first notch is 7inchea from the waist line and the other is 4 inches from the crotch line, is that correct?
