How to make a paper star lantern using your Cricut

In this tutorial I will be sharing with you how to make a paper star lantern using your Cricut. You can google paper star lantern and many options come up. Some for a small fee others are for free if you sign up for their emails. I used my pattern through Jennifer Maker. I then opened a new project then uploaded my SVG for my paper star lantern. The lines were set as cut but I wanted to have them scored instead. So I show you how to change these lines from cut to score. First take a square and position it and resize it to fit over each cut line, highlight the image and weld. Do this one at a time for all the cut lines. Then go to shapes and add a score line in place of all the cut lines. Only do this if you have a scoring wheel or stylus. If not then you may want to choose to leave the lines as cut. Then start cutting/scoring your star and inserts if you choose. After the star tips are done being cut then fold the cutting mat off the back of your paper to prevent the paper from curling. Then start to fold each star tip where the the score or cut lines are. If you choose to cut the inserts then start gluing 4 inserts into each tip. Then glue the long flap for each tip creating a 3-D tip. Do this for the 5 tips. Then start gluing one tip together at a time working your way in one direction. Once you get to the last tip glue one side and leave the last one open. Do this only if you choose to add lights into your star. Add the lights then glue the last tip together. This one is a little more challenging but try to glue the bottom then the top after the bottom dries. Enjoy you beautiful paper star! The options for this are endless!
