How to Make a Person Hand Puppet

Learn how I made this caricature hand puppet of my friend who loves puppets!. This is my second puppet build, and I learned a lot during this process! I'll show you step-by-step how I created the head, mouth plate, arms, and hands for my puppet, and I'll explain some of the materials I used to assemble the puppet.

Hello! I just came across your channel... You have a very good energy. I'm a novice at puppeteering. Almost all puppeteers have similar head patterns. When the work is done and you look at it from the front, all of these puppets are standing with their mouths open! I showed this puppet to a kid recently and he was scared :) For example, if it is a dog or other animal puppet, the open stance of the mouth can be understood. I'm looking for a pattern that I can make the jaw part independently. I hope I can explain... Also, What is the green colored material at the edge of the mouth incision?

The eyes are vacuformed polystyrene sheets. I added strips of nylon fleece and craft foam for the eyelids, and a button for the irises. The nose and ears are foam covered with nylon fleece. The mouth lining is ultrasuede and the teeth are carved L200 foam. The eyebrows and beard are flocking.

Yours turned out better than mine. I didnt cut deep to make the mouth (so the mouth doesnt move as much)
