these were once trade secrets, people are intrigued, not knowing the simple process! neat work:)

Cheers man! I spent ages looking for decent vids when I was learning, so thought I’d share what I know for any enthusiasts :)

it's all about customer perception. if a customer thought they weren't getting their money's worth, they'd be ripping pissed, so you don't share how simple a process can be to avoid that. if they happen to notice and question you, the answer you give them is, 'you're not paying for the minutes, you're paying for the years.'

Hey Paul, what's the name of the software your using for making the patterns that the vinyl cutter puts out?

Hey paul what the name of that glue you use for chipping and where do you get it

It’s Liberon Pearl Glue. I buy it from storehouses.co.uk

Hey Paul, can you help me out and tell me is there a website I can go to for the different lettering styles and layout designs for reverse gilding? I'm afraid I'm quite new at this and just learning. And also where do I get that vinyl at and what is is called. Finally who makes that vinyl cutter cuz I'm gunna need one of those too...thnx beau
@happygilder11 ай бұрын
Hi Beau. You can buy lots of the old Cigar panel designs from Ephemera Fonts. The vinyl I buy is just cheap stuff off eBay. Just search Self Adhesive Vinyl Roll. The cutter I have is the GCC Expert 2. It’s a mid range cutter that is really good. I’d advise against buying a cheap Chinese cutter.

nice work what are your measurements for the rectangles and spacing in-between thanks
@happygilder2 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry I don't know because I don't have the original file anymore. I made the rectangle so that it was a good fit for the photo I used. It would be equally effective with more or fewer rectangles. I just went with what I thought looked good

Paul, I love the videos and your theme song but the difference in audio levels betwee your voice (very low) and the music (very high), makes it hard to watch since I'm constantly adjusting the volume.

Thanks William! Yes this was an issue in my early vids. I’ve since bought a mic so the more recent ones are more balanced
