How long will it take to be ready ? Having a party and want to make sure it will be ready in time and also can I make it in the morning if my party is at night I have a very similar machine Ty in advance

Great question, Todd. First, welcome to the Slushy Family!! The trick to to keep the mix in the fridge, the rum in the freezer, and, of course, to use cold water. This, along with the proper machine settings, will get you a slushy in about 20-25 mins. Room temp ingredients can take 45 - 60 mins. Either way, if you make it in the morning and your party isn't until the evening, you have plenty of time!

Sorry I have another question if I’m having a party at say 6:00 pm and I am putting the machine outside and it’s in the 80s how long in advance can I fill the machine and set it up ? I would like to get it out of the way and just let it run

@@ToddCirella You can make it anytime you'd like, Todd. Just put the ingredients in your tank(s) and leave it in "Cold Drink" mode. Then, around, 5:30 pound that "Slushy" button and you'll have your slushies ready for the arrival of your first guest at 6:00! Also, if your machine is already outside, put the liquor in the freezer and the mix in the fridge. Working with prechilled ingredients helps your machine not work so hard in the heat as it initially works to chill the recipe. So have fun and in the immortal words of Bill & Ted....PARTY ON!

Welcome to the Slushy Family, Felipe! That is a great question and something that I should begin rating in my recipe videos. For this, I would give it a 6.5. I actually like my Piña Coladas sweeter than this. But I also like a "Punch you in the face" amount of coconut too and would only rate this as a 6 for coconutiness (making up new slushy words to describe the taste is half the fun lol) .

I have to get my hands on that Pina Colada Mix Supreme? I think it was called - but I'm in Canada! I recently got a vevor 3 litre x 2 and a 15 litres x 2 and im dying to try it - locally there are powder slushy mixes, but I a m sold on the one you are showing with coco lopez!! I went to the margaritaman website but don't see a ship to Canada option. sigh .....crying. Ideas anyone?

The Pina colada came out great!! We're renting a machine again going to make mango margarita and can you give any advice on how to make blackberry margueritas using blackberry (monin) syrup??

Hey there, Diane! Awesome to hear the Pina Colada turned out great! Mango margaritas sound delicious, too. I'll be trying a new Mango recipe myself shortly. For the blackberry margaritas using Monin blackberry syrup (a genius idea!), here's a recipe that works well with Vevor slushy machines (using a minimum of 2 gallons of mix). Combine 1 liter of tequila, 500 ml of triple sec, 1 liter of fresh lime juice, 500 ml of Monin blackberry syrup, and 3 liters of water in a large container. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed. Pour the mixture into your Vevor slushy machine, set it to "Slushy" mode, and let it do its thing. Alternatively, you can put it on "Cold Drink" mode for 20 minutes to let it mix well and then turn on "Slushy" mode. Once it’s slushed, serve your blackberry margaritas in glasses rimmed with sugar or salt, and, if you'd like to make it eye-catching, garnish with a fresh blackberry or lime wedge. Welcome to the slushy family, Johnna! You'll have a blast with this at a party. Remember to keep backup ingredients in the fridge so they are cold and don't crank up the temp of your mix when you need to refill the tanks. The 100 degrees will indeed have an effect on the machine. You'll face two issues. One depending upon the breeze, the direct or indirect sunlight, and temp, your tank could frost over causing the mix to not slush correctly. For that, just monitor the condensation and wipe it off regularly. The second issue is that the motor will work to keep the temp steady and just needs a bit of help from you. If you can, keep it in the shade (party tents are great for this) and ensure the vents are nice and free from obstructions. If you are not using alcohol, you should be fine by lowering the temp by 1 full degree than normal. If you are using alcohol, you might need to go a full 2 degrees below your normal temp. For alcohol recipes, one trick is to only use half as much in the tank and offer a bottle that allows your guests to add a floater to their slushy (When a bartender adds an extra shot of alcohol on top of your frozen margarita, it's typically referred to as a "floater." This technique is used to enhance the drink's potency and flavor profile). This helps the machine work best due to less alcohol in it and maintains the normal amount of alcohol in the individual glass. I hope this helps ya and have a great party with your new machine!

You can, BUT it might be different than you expect. The Icee brand (and similar) machines have an integrated carbonator to introduce carbon dioxide when freezing. The machines in this video are classified as "non- carbonated frozen beverage" machines. Still tasty, but some people complain when they try cola blushes that they're "flat" because they're expecting carbonation

I have a large commercial margarita machine that holds 7 gallons, but when it's just me, and I don't want to drink several gallons of this stuff, my Blendtec makes a quick frozen drink in a flash, and it's indistinguishable from the big machine. Plus Margarita Man had both the machine and blender recipes on the bottle. But you REALLY need a quality blender (Blendtec, Vitamix, etc). A Ninja or Hamilton Beach just won't give you the right texture.

Good point, AirLar. Sometimes you just need enough for yourself. The hot new item is the new Ninja Slushy machine BUT you can only keep the slushy in the machine for a maximum of 12 hours. They are trying to compete with Vevor's smaller sized machine seen here:s.vevor.com/bfQ7on The real difference is there is no such time restraint with Vevor's. Just a thought for ya.

​@MultiCasking I've seen multiple family members go through the Made In Chy-nah brands of various consumer level appliances (Ninja, Magic Bullet, etc) and they perform exactly as you'd expect, and with a short life span. My mother was about to buy her 3rd magic bullet when I gifted her a Blendtec. That was 5 years ago, and the machine has over 3K blends on its counter. It gets heavy use (for a residential machine) and the blend quality is the kicker. It's exactly like my huge 11K margarita machine, and does a PERFECT, smooth frozen drink in 15 seconds. But for parties and crowds, gotta LOVE the big machines! So visually appealing, too!

@@airlar4857 That's wise advice! I think Nijna's new slushy machine that went viral will wind up being a fad for those that buy it. It's a copy of Vevor's 3L machine but it only holds slushies for 12 hrs. I think folks would be more wise to spend the extra money on a machine that is designed to both make and hold a recipe as we need it to. But it is drawing a lot more slushy fans to the genre and I'm all for growing the slushy family lol!

I think the less expensive stuff does have its place, but if it's something you plan on using routinely, or several times even, invest in something that will PERFORM and LAST! It's easy to see you've done that - your enthusiasm for that machine shows in your videos... keep it up!
