From what I have read about this little mod, it's mainly to keep the engine from starving for fuel when the engine is under heavy loads from pulling trailers and such.

Did you do the the valve on passenger side ?? I know drivers side supplys passenger side and if you don't do that one you only get better fuel delivery to drivers ??

You should drill out the other rail fitting too, 1/16 since the driver side rail feeds the passanger side rail

fyi, should always use a vacuum to remove the bulk of cuttings, then air, less chance of getting metal in the eye. having a doctor dig metal out of your eye sucks, been there twice, much more careful these days.

What is the benefit of this and the benefit of the race fuel valve? Is it better to just delete the valve altogether?

you don’t have to unplug the connectors to the compressor, i just installed my ported fitting and did not have to unplug any of the connectors

when you did you fuel valve did you use an o ring? I just did the shims and I didn't notice one so I put it in without one and now it drips fuel

billy jones it will through a low fuel temp code Because the fuel doesn’t have time to heat up in the rail . Only in cold weather. No harm too worry about

From what I understand the reason for this small hole is to quite the motor down 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m going to install the PPE just cause I’m not sure how this will hold up. But it does make a big difference. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXuai6KHp7CVsKM

I know I'm late to the comments but... This method is just fine. As long as the individual is capable of doing it correctly, the stock fitting drilled out to 1/8" will hold up great!

+FishFor Crappie 1/2 inch on the belt tensioner it really wasn't hard I did put a cheater pipe on the ratchet to give me more leverage

fleece did a flow test and doing only the driverside proved to better. the picked up about 500psi over doing both sides.

You get more gains in psi from just doing one side as opposed to both?? I'm trying to figure all this out for my LBZ. I was thinking about drilling both mine out instead of buying from PPE because I can drill quicker than they can deliver, and than I found this clip. Much appreciated.
