I used silver Rub 'n Buff when I built model car kits back in the '60s. I might have had a few other colors too, such as red, but I don't recall. I haven't used it in years, but I knew it was still available.

My wife and I used this on ceramics back in the 80’s. We really like it.

Question, from a beginner, can you get a lighter and shinier effect for swords and such? Great work, love your videos.

Is it safe to handle after it dries? I'd like to do it to a wooden handle that will be use a ton with bare hands. Will it need some kind of finish to protect it and keep it from getting on me and clothing, etc.?

I have a laser etched wooden plaque to display a sword on the wall. It's stained black, but I feel like the etching part needs to be highlighted to give it a more upscale feel. Would the rub and buff work for that?

Hello, if I want just a straight-up black wrought iron finish, do I need the silver, or can I just stick with the ebony? Thank you

Is this durable Like after its dry and doesnt smudge Could I dent it with my nail
@CorneliusCreations4 жыл бұрын
It is pretty durable, although, If you will be touching it you will need to put a thin coat of sealer on it.

Can you seal it? If so with what?
@kneufeld124 жыл бұрын
That is the same question that I have. If I want to create a metal effect on parts of a walking stick, can I use a water seal of some sort to make it weather proof?
@CorneliusCreations4 жыл бұрын
Yes, If you are going to use it then it needs to be sealed. The wax in this makes it durable, but it needs sealant to protect it over time. I would recommend acrylic clear coat
@erichhunterph.d.1983 жыл бұрын
Thanks. How durable is it? Will it come off with handling?
@CorneliusCreations3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it, Erich! It is pretty durable.. I could see it being rubbed off over long periods of use. I would suggest using a clear coat over it if handled much.

A lot of people generally keep it black at the base.
