Man we planted one plant, and then the birds took care of the rest! We ended up with 20 plants around the backyard! Gonna send this to my mom

Our very favorites!!! We have plants from Mexico and also planted another variety from seeds from Mexico (chile Tepin). Here in DFW they are perennials! We have ours in pots and bring them in the garage when we have the polar vortex. Thank you for sharing your sweet Mom.

Bonnie plants are great. I've only ever had one issue with one of their plants, everything else has grown quite well...and been delicious.

Arnie, I know those plants are thriving. Your mom has always had a green thumb. Her yard always looked so beautiful with all her plants. My kid always remember the valley lemon tree. The lemons were so delicious.🤤😋❤

I remember the early days of Bonnie I think they had one growing facility. I brought them in as a supplier at my Home Depot and I got in a little trouble nobody had heard of them they're everywhere now. Bonnie platforms I know you're watching it was the original Corpus Christi Home Depot many years ago if I'm not mistaken about 30 years

Chiltepins have a unique flavor unlike any others! I’m 75 years old and I’ve been eating these since I was about 5. They were my dad’s favorite and they’re mine, too.

I have a bunch of chiltepin plants that I am growing from seeds I got in Arizona a few years ago. Normally, I just let the birds eat most of them but I'm going to actually have to harvest some for myself and some salsa this year before the growing season ends.

lol;;;love them little peeperssss;;;;hopefully some of the tepins along the back fence will come back as all my plants up next to the house that were manicured for production burned up wihen our house burned down;;;so now I get to watch wish and wait;;;as had no way water and limited rainfall this year they all appear to be gone for the summer and maybe turn into fertilizer for the weeds;;anyway always enjoy and prepare many of your recipes with my own personal twists;;;lol;;;;thumbs up and keep em comin ;;;;now back to watching you prepare Oh I grew up on the farm about 6 miles from Luckenbach and we had mockingbird planters to give us plenty of plants all over the place;;;I joked with some of my friends about having to go pick peppers and when I got back I would say I picked over 400 peppers;;;the reply was Yeah right;;;then I would send them a picture of the peppers;;;;lol;;;now back to watching you making a hot hot

It's crazy timing that I tried to make this salsa yesterday, without knowledge of this video. I never liked the seeds in the little peppers, they feel especially crunchy, its crazy that I actually tried a coffee grinder to grind them up like you. My grinder left them pretty big still. I tried my ninja blender, with the smallest juicer cup, on the highest setting, and they dissolved fairly well, but it was still a gritty consistency. I was going to ask on a Facebook group, if the top of the line Vitamix blender would do the job, that the ninja blender can't quite do. Ill buy it, salsa is daily, it'd be a good investment Ive already been thinking of.

I've grown those. Unlike the Capsicum Annums which produce several crops of peppers over the season, the chilitepin plants sets one set of little peppers that ripen up at harvest.

@@RolloTonéBrownTown they were pretty easy to grow in hot ass Texas, I got hundreds of the small pea sized peppers. Did some ferments. Taste really good, but they brought the heat.

Brother I got a question: What do you do with say leftover food waste like the peel of the tomato, or like scraps of potato, or the ends of peppers? Like is there any feasible way to use that whether its helping soil or something instead of throwing it in the trash?
