How to make a seamless looping video that doesn't jump!

Do the jumps and skips in a "looped" video drive you batty? Learn how to make a seamless looping video using iMovie. Even though I used iMovie for this tutorial, the concepts in here can be applied to most other video editing software programs.

@@Auragold777 It's really hard to explain in comments. I had to do a lot of experimenting with the video editor programs I'm using. There should be "how-to" videos on KZbin for the program(s) you are using.

Or if you're super picky, you could use a partial screenshot/overlay of the sky that doesn't move at all :) I've had to do this to many of my live wallpapers. I've made one that used about 5 different transparent png images/overlays in different spots to hide motion of specific elements to get a perfect seamless loop.

The only way to achieve such a long duration in a video is to do the copy paste step over and over.

Yes, copy and paste a few loops. Then, copy that complete set of loops and paste those a few times. After a couple of pastes, you will be able to copy a large section and paste those as one. Easy peasy.

Should explain what happens at the end of the loop back to start of the loop. Cross Dissolve wont fix that.
