If you're just sketching a rough path of the sun I think it should be similar to what's shown in the video with the sun rising in the East and setting in the West. Hope this helps!

For a sketch diagram like how I show in the video it's just about remembering that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West and is at it's highest point at the middle of the day.
