Hi! When the piping must end and "disappear " in the seam, instead of leaving a "tail", you can always cut off only the cord of the piping leaving the sewed fabric of it to go on and make the joint. Thank you very mach for your videos, they are excellent!!!

I have made slip covers for years - this is a FANTASTIC set of videos! A couple things I do slightly differently: I sew the piping on the outside arm piece to that piece before pinning to the inside wing; for the front of the arm I cut a paper pattern and then cut the fabric adding seam allowance. I also add the piping to the front of the arm before adding to the rest of the arm pieces. I trim a bit of the cording out of the piping at the seams to reduce bulk; this also helps reduce shrinkage of the piping when washed. My tuck-in allowance is greater but I think I am going to reduce in the future based on your outcome. Thanks for great instructions!

I'm having a terrible time with the rolled arm fronts of my couch. After viewing several (and I mean several) blogs with slipcover tutorials, it appears that I'm just super picky about it being perfect. Ugh... I need to loosen up or perfect this arm front! lol Thanks for this tutorial. It was the first one that actually really helped me get most of mine done ;)

Marian, I wished you had Kristy film the close up stuff so we could see a little better when you were pinning the pipping in . I love learning from you. I love your style and slip covers has always been something I've wanted to try. Otherwise, good video! xo

I'm going to start my own slipcover. It would be so helpful if you could add close up shots of how you're pinning the trim into the seam. Thanks!

Can you do more videos on tight place and curves, I am doing a wood and fabric barrel chair and I have to sort of change the part where the arm and front of the chair meet at and under where the deck the deck is. I'm using a different fabric for the deck, I put piping over the arm and back to follow the wood line, and I was going to finish the chair with a pipe line just below the original fabric and pipe line then use Velcro to hold it in place or upholstery screws. It all looked good in my head, but I'm having trouble with the transition at the point where the arm front and back, deck, and face/front under deck all meet and go around the leg. It's hard to tell you without showing you. What I'm doing. This is my first slipcover that wasn't just a sheet thrown over the furniture to hide it. The chair is a wood frame chair with slight padding inside framed by piping and just a tight covering on the outside also framed by piping. It's all stapled to the wood so I don't really have any fabric lines to follow. Fabric is slippery too no place to pin "to" the chair so I used masking tape to stick my pins in, it worked kind of but not as well as I had hoped.

It would be nice to see you use piping throughout the project, for example the curve at the top edge. You measured for that in Part one but you didn't use it when you sewed the back and front together.

I'm having an awful problem making a slipcover for a chair where the cushion is not separate, it is completely attached to the chair. I can't figure out how to cut it and sew it to the arm pieces. So far I've wasted 2 yds of fabric! Can you help. Also, I believe this chair is called a butterfly chair. Thanks, AE

OK, so you measured all of that cording and your Mom was sewing it somewhere off camera, but you have only used a bit of it. Where is the rest of the cording?
