I’ve read several times not to use plastic wrap in the microwave, it releases harmful fumes. Wrap your corn in wet paper towels that you squeeze most of the water out of, it works really well. Your sloppy joes look really good!

My mom is a corn on the cob lover!! We get it delivered by the box from the farmers market (neither of us drive). We shuck all our corn and tightly wrap them in cling film. We store them in the fridge in a drawer and microwave them for 2 minutes and get perfect corn every time. I add corn to chili, stir fry, soups... I just slice it off the cob. Tammy you are a joy to watch. You make me feel good about my own cooking and give me great ideas for new ways of trying things. It's truly refreshing to see a real person being themselves!

@@itsjustme.7059 I put a bit of olive oil in a frying pan add onions til they are a little soft, add garlic or use garlic powder. Add the burger til it’s browned. Drain the fat. I add a little squirt of mustard. Enough catsup to moisten the burger. Then add the bbq sauce to you taste. Let it cook 10-15 minutes on low and stir often. Enjoy. Sorry I don’t measure things. I always use about 2 pounds of burger. My favorite meat to use is ground pork.

I have never liked sloppy joe's. I don't know if it's all that catsup in them or what, but I like catsup in some things in moderation. I like the meat taste in sloppy Joe's but the catsup overpowers that. I'd rather just have a hamburger. However, I LOVE corn on the cob!

Those sloppy Joe’s look delicious and I can’t wait to try this recipe. Just a tip about wrapping your corn in plastic wrap and putting it in your microwave, the plastic wrap drips when it gets hot and throws out toxins on your corn which isn’t healthy so maybe next time you might want to use parchment paper I think that would be the best bet to keep you and Chris healthy. Just a heads up 💕

Sloppy joes always brings me back to my grandma when I was a child. This was something she put on the table at least once a week. Also when you're blotting up the grease from the hamburger with the paper towel because I can't see exactly what you're doing are you just blotting the hamburger and getting out most of the liquid instead of dumping it into something like a colander or cheesecloth?
