This is great, I’m in the UK and there are no suppliers of larger moulds and ordering from the USA is costly so I really appreciate this video and will be making my mould soon x

I haven't made soap yet, but I've read some books and watched a lot of videos and your videos are the best I've seen with the information you give. Thank you! I feel more confident for when it comes time to make some soap. I've done melt and pour but it's not what I want to do. Your bars are so inspiring.

I enjoy your attention to detail. I've been lining my wooden molds with freezer paper for years (since 1995). Your method is brilliant. I'm gonna try it this week and see how it works for me.

Wow! So grateful this was available. I am going to try and use a flat rate shipping small box to do this so I don't have to worry about reinforcement work but how can I know how much melt and pour soap base to use? Beautiful soap!

Hi from the UK Marie, Thank you again for many wonderful tips and helpful videos. Will you change the liner each time you make a new soap? Thank you again👌🏼
@TreeMarieSoapworks
@TreeMarieSoapworks 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the drawback to these molds is that you must use a new liner for every batch. (I usually cut several at once, so they are ready to fold when I need them.)

About how many times do you use a cardboard mold like this? I find getting my soap out tends to be hard and I tear the box. I will try reinforcing with tape like you said. Great tip!! Any tips for removing the soap and getting it out without smashing the corners?
@TreeMarieSoapworks
@TreeMarieSoapworks 3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you use sodium lactate to harden your soap properly and think about water discount. Think about 25% water as a percent of oil weight. I had dented corners before I lowered my water.

How do you cut the bars
@losFondos
@losFondos 2 жыл бұрын
I'm confused, what's the depth of the soap slap once you pour it in the mold? surely the soap bars aren't 2.25" thick, are they?
@TreeMarieSoapworks
@TreeMarieSoapworks 2 жыл бұрын
It's a one-layer horizontal slab design. Think of it as if your bar is lying down. The depth is a little over 1." Then, it is cut into 8 or 9-3.5" x 2.25" bars, depending on how you cut it. 😊
