Tools You need for bookbinding:
1) Cutting mat;
2) Foam pad;
3) Cutting knife(X-acto or scalpel);
4) Paper, rice paper, mulberry paper or any drawing paper.
5) Paper poking tool;
6) Bone Folder;
6) Thread - fine French linen thread is recommended for the best result;
7) Bookbinding needles;
8) Masking tape.

That needle threading technique is exactly what I learned and use in leather work. It's used there for the same reason: to minimize the hole expansion and help keep things tight.

Hello, what material did you/can you use for the cover? I have made a hard cover one with boards and book binding cloth, but I also want to make a soft cover one just like yours!
