Unfortunately things went south and, wanting to stick with a coffee type job, I started at Starbucks. Can confirm it's all buttons and, despite my 2+ years of real cafe experience, in the 2 months I worked at Starbucks they never once "taught" me how to make any espresso drinks and kept me on taking orders. Hated it and quit. Never again

There’s an espresso machine from Walmart that’s only 50 dollars . It has a steamer too! It saved me so much money from Starbucks. I buy espresso beans and grind them in a grinder for a fresh and bolder taste !

Iced caramel macchiato -vanilla syrup or sometimes i use hazelnut syrup if it's blended -drizzle caramel syrup in the sides of your cup -put ice -ambiantte/ makes all your drinks bomb -milk -top with espresso. Our cafe costumers love it!

I know your question is rhetorical and joke. But the word “chai” varies from country and culture. Ofc you know the direct translation for “chai” is “tea”. So technically you are correct, “Chai Tea Latte” does mean “Tea Tea Milk”, and that does sound weird. 😂 I did a little research and read that “Chai” is a Hindi word which derived from the Chinese word “cha” (also means “tea”). But in Hindi terms, “chai” means /a mix of spices/ seeped into tea-like beverages. So therefore, and in my opinion, Starbucks “Chai Tea Latte” is not “Tea Tea Milk” it’s actually “Varied Spiced Tea Milk”. But to each their own. Sorry for being that person. I was honestly curious and thought it’d be nice to share my findings. I hope you learned something new too!

Hector Palacios ~ Like I mentioned, “chai” is basically “spiced tea”. So there’s not just ONE specific flavor of chai tea, meaning there’s no single recipe to make chai. Of course different cultures have their own spiced tea. I read in an article that the US/UK take on chai (otherwise known as chai tea latte) does NOT respect the original taste of Indian chai tea. Mainly because the milk and sugar of the latte makes the drink excessively sweet with an unsavory mix of spices (commonly cinnamon, cloves, etc.). Therefore, the Starbucks Chai Tea Latte is not a reliable beverage to judge what chai is. The difference between “chai syrup” and authentic “chai tea” is as simple as excess sugar. So I don’t think the taste of “chai syrup” should be the flavor everyone thinks of when trying to describe “chai”. BUT, as an AMERICAN you can technically say the chai tea latte is indeed the taste of chai.

for anyone worried about nitro having too much caffeine because I too, thought the same thing for a long ass time Nitro cold brew and cold brew are the same brews, just one is nitrogen infused. we can’t sell venti’s due to a few things a) it doesn’t come with ice, so we would ultimately go through the product a lot more b) not sure if this is true but a really smart sciency coworker told me this, but the nitrogen causes the caffeine to hit faster which causes the rush, sounded way more understandable when he said it and i’m big dumb anyway I digress I love these videos bc it makes me happier that people can make the drinks at home so I don’t have to serve them lmao. i dunno about other stores but my store has garbage clientele,, have had things thrown at me, called stupid, etc. be nice to baristas

hi, starbucks barista here. the reason we can’t sell a venti or trenta of the nitro is for quality purposes, not because of the caffeine content. a venti or trenta nitro would be too much room for the nitrogen bubbles and it would go flat too quickly. the nitro cold brew has the same caffeine content as a regular cold brew but the nitrogen allows for the caffeine to enter the body quicker.

Hey hey! I'm a barista trainer at Starbucks and the nitro cold brew caffeine thing is a popular myth! The real reason we can't sell it in a venti size is because the nitrogen cascade disappears too quickly for most people to finish a venti. It's just about beverage quality. The more you know!

L Iqbal You can use Italian sweet cream creamer and add some cinnamon powder and pumpkin pie purée (like 2 tbls and yes, from the can) and put that in a blender then pour on top of your black cold brew. You can add vanilla to the cold brew too, that’s how Starbs serves it. 😁

Idk how starbucks makes them, but part of the whole point of a macchiato is having that thick, buoyant foam at the top and pouring a short pull shot over it. Thats the reason its made differently from a latte in which you would put the shot first. The composition of the drink is different which is why some people order a latte macchiato rather than just a latte. Its totally fine to enjoy strong coffee mixed with caramel and milk, but what makes a drink a macchiato is based on the composition not the ingredients

No the Nitro technically isn't more caffeinated but the nitro makes it go to your bloodstream quicker, so it hits you faster and longer. also the real reason Starbucks doesn't sell a Venti or Trenta is bc theres no ice in the drink so the quality of it wouldn't be the best.
