@@MRGREGSHOWTOresponses are a good thing. But eventually it could get to be time prohibitive….especially In that period of time ,just after becoming YT famous & really growing exponentially (with just some filming help from a friend or family member )& the point where you hire a crew to help you out with all of your YT related needs…. Have a good one.

I cannot wait to adjust this… I remember when I first got this mower secondhand, but in great shape two years ago… And as you described, it has gotten slower and slower to the point where I’m really not working with a self-propelled situation… I cannot wait to do this and mow my lawn tomorrow! WOW !! Less than two minutes into this video I had a good idea as to how to make the adjustment. My brother gave me a very nice personal-pace Toro, but I had to push-assist it to make it go uphill. Well, not anymore! And it is a lot faster on the flat, too! TY, Mr Greg!

I have a question about that knob. Now when you adjust the self propel with that knob are you supposed to have the engine on or off? Also does that same knob adjust the tension of the belt?
@MRGREGSHOWTO4 ай бұрын
Howdy, partner! Engine should be off. The knob adjusts tension of the drive belt for the self-propel function.

I can adjust the cable, but I get a grinder like noise. I assume from the drive box, this is happening either way! If I tighten it too much it doesn’t drive the wheels evenly and the mower pulls one way or the other! Any thoughts?
@MRGREGSHOWTO6 ай бұрын
Howdy, partner! The grinding noise should only happen if it is too tight. If you loosen it up, will it still speed up without the noise? Usually the adjustments are very small.

Im short and want to be able to mow with the bar that is straight because its lower. Any ideas? I was thinking of getting some kind of clasp. Im not used to this mower. My other one was self propelled a d had one pushing bar. I dont like how the curved push bar goes up and down. Maybe I just need to get used to it. But yeah I want to use the straight handle bar to push... Hope this makes sense. Im like 5 ft tall. This video helped also because I did not feel it self propelling very much. We just out it together. It works very well though.

I have a 2007 Toro Super Recycler Personal Pace Lawn Mower. I can not figure out were the bolt is. Is it by the ignition toggle switch? It feel like I am pushing it. I have to push the bolt down for it to go faster. But I can not find it. Good review I will ask my neighbor tomorrow if he can figure out where it is.

Good morning from NC Mr.G. I haven’t noticed mine slowing down yet but I will be checking it out. Thx for the info. I haven’t scanned the QR code yet but it can’t hurt to go online & see what the company has to say . I’m on here looking for the oil type & amount. Type would be good enough, I can just put in the same amount I take out .The sticker on the deck says something like “no oil change needed “.any thoughts on that?my gut is telling me that is simply not a good idea…this is one of the best mowers I’ve ever had. I plan on making it last as long as possible. Want to do all the preventative maintenance that I can find or think of doing. Since you have had 2 ,maybe you know something that I don’t…yet..thx again and take care. Like & sub. With 13k subscribers,you are already at a point where you can start inquiring about freebies for testing. OR companies are contacting you..???.I would think.?.?. Curious about that..Enjoy the day.

Howdy, partner! I have never changed the oil on the Toro, I just add a little if I notice the level is lower. The last personal pace mower I sold because I was moving and didn't think I needed it. These mowers will last 10+ years with hardly any maintenance. They're great! Yes, the channel does get sponsorship and testing offers pretty regularly. We are not currently affiliated with Toro. Thanks for watching!

I got a brand new toro, and if I try to mow that fast, the mower will stall, even on freshly mowed grass. stalled in the first minute on the first mow brand new. I need to do poppa wheelies with it repeatedly to keep it from stalling. My old toro did the same thing. Is that a toro specific problem?
@MRGREGSHOWTO4 ай бұрын
Howdy, partner! I've always been a Toro fan. All push mowers will stall if overloaded with grass. Yours may be a dud or your grass may be just a little too long. Maybe try adjusting the height setting up a notch for the initial mow?

Mine isn’t working when the mower is on the ground. I replaced the cable and now it seems like the cable may be too long. If I pull it by hand, it won’t work but when I raise the mower and pull it by hand the wheels move. Any ideas what it may be? It’s like it doesn’t have enough power to pull it??

Does faster mean more traction?
@MRGREGSHOWTO7 ай бұрын
By faster, I mean that the wheels are spinning more rapidly. The traction is pretty much tied to the friction of the wheel on ground surface. Hope that helps!

Howdy, partner! Sorry this didn't work for you. If the drive belt is squealing it may have been adjusted a little too tight. If you loosen it and still no success there is likely another cause. Good luck!

The most lousy lawnmower our family has ever purchased. 😡 Got a Toro Recycler in 2010 and had nothing but problems. IT NEVER WORKED RIGHT FROM THE TIME WE BOUGHT IT NEW AND TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX, even after checking the filter, checking and replacing the oil, changing the blade. All it did was bog down and stall and leave clumps of grass. It guzzled gas like no tomorrow and blew the exhaust in the face of the person using the mower. Lousy engineering. Poor quality. It would not cut through tall wet grass without stalling and both of our craftsman mowers could do that no problem whatsoever. So glad we sold it.
