hi are you still around, I know this is an old video..Was wondering what thickness chipboard you used - one is thinner to double up right? Could you tell me the thickness, I'm trying to use a similar method! Thank you

Yes, I'm still around. Rumors of my death have been slightly exaggerated. As for your question, the book board I used is 1/16th of an inch thick so when doubled is 1/8". I find that even though it's quite thin it still makes a very deep-looking relief for the initials (JJL in this video) yet the paper use to cover it can easily stretch into the recess without tearing. The place where I buy my supplies labels the book boards as single, double and triple. When I glue two single thickness boards together as in this video they do in fact turn out to be exactly the thickness of the double, so it's possible to use double thickness board anywhere on the box and book covers where you don't have the relief cut in and they match. .
