Every time you open that trunk you'll think about what it took to make and you'll get a sense of pride from it. Good job man! 👍

Hey Oliver! I made it to the end..... Cookie time! LOL. That turned out really good and can now see where you've been hiding since the last video. Yes lots of work! I can't imagine how many hour of welding you have into that trunk but it tuned out great! Love how you did the fuel filler pipe too, you sure are creative! Great job my friend!

Thank you Don! Yes lots of hours welding! And the filler pipe was my favorite part because it turned out perfect!

Slick project. Using a truck bed floor for floor is actually pretty ingenious. That would have solved some problems in a couple of problems in a couple of project cars I had decades ago. It's like once you see it, it's obvious.

I welded up my gas door and moved it to the driver side quater pannel. Still working on gas tank.realy I joy watching your progress.

Are you going to weld a patch in to your fender so it looks like there was never a gas door there to begin with? Good luck with your wiring!

Hey anything cool and different always takes time, I love the end result and you made it into space that can be used for much needed storage. Great job 👍

everything you said was true... don't do it that way. OTOH, hours of hard work was a good teacher.

Cut a hole in the frame, insert a piece of pipe weld it in and your gas lines run through it. Frame stabilized by the pipe being welded in place.

Tip if you would have "CUT a GROVE" in the metal with the grinder you would have got a tighter bend.

I was thinking a bout putting some 67 chevell tail lights on my 65 wounderd what you thought how hard it would be.
@pissedoffpistongarage2 жыл бұрын
That would be cool! I don’t think it would be too hard. It’s hard to say without having chevelle taillight to compare to a Corvair. I would probably buy a complete chevelle tail light panel and then splice it into the tail light section on the Corvair. That way you don’t have to custom make your tail light buckets.

good job, would rivets have been better/easier?

You should use carriage bolts with the round heads instead of regular bolts
@pissedoffpistongarage2 жыл бұрын
Not that I’m arguing, but why do you say that? What are the benefits? Genuine question lol
@carsonkosier40102 жыл бұрын
@@pissedoffpistongarage just gives a better look and will blend in to the body Better than a hex head bolt at the bottom of the quarter panel but it is your car and if you like that style then run with it I was just giving my two cents worth LOL
@pissedoffpistongarage2 жыл бұрын
@@carsonkosier4010 ohhhh I thought there was a scientific reason😂 I actually used the hex bolts cause I liked the looks over the carriage bolts😂
