Both these tours were unforgettable! Check below for more info!
Cheerio from across the pond! 👋🇬🇧 the crew and I headed down to London town to continue our British adventure. First stop: tea. Second stop: more tea. When in Rome, do as the Londoners do…or something like that, right?? 🤔
@brigitsbakery has totally changed the tea time game with their Afternoon Tea Bus Tour. It’s everything we love about exploring a new city (food, culture, and sightseeing galore), minus the not so fun stuff (the blisters, Google maps drama, and more blisters…should I go on?!) and if there’s one thing you should know about me by now, it’s that there’s nothing I love more than to see people get creative in the kitchen. So when @ampersandhotel came knocking and said they had a little something up their sleeve that involved a little bit of physics, a little bit of chemistry, and a whole lot of deliciousness, we couldn't resist this one-of-a-kind experience!
I think it’s safe to say we now all #LoveGreatBritain and are counting down the seconds to our next visit!

I have SO many questions after this incredible learning experience! Is it High Tea or Afternoon Tea? Is it pronounced SCONE or SCOHN?? Does the clotted cream or jam go on first?! Enlighten me, dahhhlings! 👇🏽
@faz4980
@faz4980 Жыл бұрын
Scone is pronounced differently in different parts of the UK. I’m from the midlands and I pronounce it ‘scon’. Whilst they both include tea as a beverage, afternoon tea includes delicate pastries, little sandwiches, scones and cakes. Whereas high tea is typically a more wholesome meal of meat, potatoes and vegetables served at the dinner table later in the day. (Supper)

I live in the UK and honestly, we don't really do high tea or afternoon tea. Its just a snack lol! I think maybe its more of a tourist thing than anything else not to crush you dreams or anything lol. Also the scone debate is very controversial but i personally say SCONE...

I don't know why you don't have your own TV show yet. The only possible reason I can think of is that you declined all the offers and decided to stay on youtube, which is totally fine. You have that "quiet bubbliness" vibe about you, that classy and contained confidence, inner & outer beauty that makes you just so beautiful and entertaining to watch. Thank you so much for providing genuiosity here on youtube and congrats on all your well-deserved success. Greetings from Switzerland 🤗

I was in London for my Birthday with my Parents and brother. We went to Westminster Abbey. Went to the National Gallery to get a print of my fav Renoir painting. Walked up the mall to Buckingham Palace & took pics. And then had an amazing tea at Harrod’s. By the time I returned to my hotel & got the surprise bday cake my bro had arranged, I had no room left. One of my best birthday’s EVER!!!

Afternoon Tea is a more relaxed serving of tea usually served in parlour chairs or in the garden while High Tea is the serving of tea at the table with more structured usually high backed chairs. The differences are subtle but there are some. Afternoon Tea is usually served between 3:00pm and 4:00pm while High Tea is served between 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Afternoon Tea was served with light snacks to allow people a small snack between lunch and dinner which was usually served around 7:30 or 8:00. High Tea was served with more hearty foods at the end of a work day to compensate for a lack of lunch break.

High tea is like meat and more savoury things like sandwiches or small bites where as afternoon tea is more sweet based with small cakes and pastries. Afternoon tea is eaten in the afternoon 2-3pm where as high tea is early evening 6-7pm. Hope this helps

Classy, fun, energetic not the typical TV baker. I opened a small cake shop that's doing quite well. Thank you!

Afternoon tea ❤ (I’m English btw lol) afternoon tea is what you were having and we do as a treat for example mothers day little cakes and sandwiches everything is very small and delicate served on tiered cake stands usually and then shared. High tea or simply ‘tea’ is what some ppl call dinner (the meal in the evening) which is a proper meal - after work when youre very tired you might have a large plate of meat and potatoes etc so theyre quite different x

In my family we use a Victoria sponge recipe to make butterfly cakes. I don't know if that's traditional or not, I've been American far too long now.... But butterfly cakes are a British thing. Would've been cool to see you put a spin on those. We made butterfly cakes for my class when I was 11. They were so popular with my classmates, I still had them bringing up the cakes when we were 18!

There's an expression in Arabic that's used when you jokingly want to say that someone (a friend) has lost the plot which loosely translates to "they've leased out all the storeys". I'm frequently reminded of this expression while watching these videos. Meanwhile, Keiron could absolutely get it. Does he come with the tour? If not, they might want to consider including him - they could be making millions.
