How to make a Watermelon Keg | Instagram Fails

You may have wondered how to make a watermelon keg, but I ask this: have you ever wondered if you SHOULD make a watermelon keg?
I've got the answers, and if you're a pintrest warrior, you might not like them! We're taking a hard look at instagram vs reality with a project only Gallagher could love.
I was inspired to try this because I saw a one minute video posted on Instagram by Food Network. Seemed simple enough- hollow out a watermelon and use it to dispense all your summer libations. Lies... LIES, I TELL YOU. Sure, you CAN hollow out a watermelon, add a spigot, and be the envy of every other, um, well... no one? I don't know who would envy this. But I'm here to tell you that it's going to take a helluva lot longer than a minute. It took us over an hour just to shoot this video, and I'm someone with more tools and determination that most (and sense, while we're at it).
So as "fun" as that instagram reel was, the reality is a sticky, time consuming mess. But hey, you end up with lots of watermelon juice after. What's that you say? I didn't need to make a keg out of it to get the juice???? You're kidding :|
