I thought I was listening to a black panther meeting, I heard the word cracker so many times lol.

I am new to whip cracking and I wore out my original cracker. I made one as you described and I am completely satisfied with how it performs. I used heavy grade carpet thread and the simplicity and great functionality is fantastic. Thank You for taking the time to make a difference in my sport life. Well Done Young Man.

Been watching your videos. Made the “easy” 5 foot whip. Wasn’t easy. But still a very awesome project. It came out looking like absolute shit thanks to my lack of patience but it cracks like a boss. Lesson learned. Great videos. Helps kill time while being deployed.

Leo Nuuanu - Thanks. My first whip I guarantee is worse than yours. It took 16 hours, because I had no vise and I braided it horribly. It still cracks pretty good though. I actually have a video of Adam Winrich cracking it.

i’m just starting out and the cracker that came with my whip last night looks like it was made out of black nylon thread and was about 6” with a 2” tuft and it only lasted for a few minutes so i started looking at tutorials and i tried a few crackers with various strings i have laying around but the one that has been working really well for me today is i took a regular piece of 1mm black braided bank line and i tied it so i have two 6” crackers with a 1” tuft.

Nice video, A quick tip, I've put two nails 30 cm's apart in my workshop. a lot quicker then measuring it out as I just rap it around the nails two and a half times and cut it. Jobs a gooden.

I got some kevlar crackers but after a few days of cracking loud. The tassel is only half the length it started at and isn't cracking to the point where it hurts my ears. Not as loud.

will #92 NYLON HEAVY DUTY BONDED Upholstery Fabric Industrial Leather Sewing Thread work? plz answer
@justinandrus67313 жыл бұрын
Upholstery thread does work but it wears out real fast. I have found that wax thread uses for sewing leather together works really well at holes up a lot longer overtime

Nylon crackers just don't seem to last, so I'd like to make some of _Kevlar_ . Can you *please* give an approximate size to look for? I spent almost an hour looking, and sizes are confusing. Looking for 90-92 size, what I find is rated either in; pounds (7,15,40 etc). diameter in thousandths, #size (33, 40, 60), or my favorite...unspecified. Help! It's expensive and I don't want to get the wrong stuff. : )
@caliberwhips95956 жыл бұрын
Robnord1 - I would tell you the exact type of Kevlar that I use; but unfortunately, I sell Kevlar crackers, so I can't say anything. Sorry. You're not the first person that has asked this question, it's just not good for business if I give out my recipe for my trademark item.

@caliberwhips95956 жыл бұрын
It's really easy to make. It just a Kevlar overlay, but you can't singe anything. I might do a video with tips on working with Kevlar.
@TheHuBBaOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Nope. Kevlar is a brand of Aramid fibers which does not melt but rather decompose when given enough heat (and it's a lot of heat needed). This is why it's used in flame-resistant products.
@caliberwhips95956 жыл бұрын
Henrik Bengtsson is right, I actually learned to make English eye fall hitches because of Kevlar. There's no singeing of any kind needed. I bought more Kevlar cord, so I plan on making more Kevlar whips in the future.
