I make a simple aircrete foam generator powered by my shop vac. Based on a viewer's comment, I used nylon window screen for the foam diffusion. I took the prototype through a few iterations to get the airflow and pressure correct. One more iteration to come using stainless steel wool for diffusion.
Plans Available At: greenshortzdiy.com/store/
(Plans not available for Vac-n-Foam yet)
Parts List:
2-foot piece of 2" PVC pipe
2" PVC coupling
2" PVC 90-degree elbow
2" to 1" PVC adaptor
1.5" PVC 45-degree elbow
1.5" to 1" PVC adaptor
14 inches of 1" PVC pipe
1" PVC 90-degree elbow
1" PVC end cap
2" to 3/4" PVC adaptor
2" piece of 3/4" PVC pipe
Nylon window screen (4 x 4 feet)

It's interesting to see how different pressure sources affect the quality of the foam coming out of your Foam Cannon. I would be interested to see the break out strength of different aircrete samples using different densities of foam... Can't wait to see the next iteration and the improvements to the design.

Love the fiddling hands on approach. Learn by doing. Mistakes are how we learn. Thanks!

The process is just as important as the final product. Most of what we see these days is someones "polished" best. Thank you for watching.

Another interesting variation on a theme... not a mistake, just an iterative step in refining a process. thanks for adding a glove to your safety gear, Tom. Wishing you and your family a blessed week. Peace brother

A great video as usual! I love how you show the process of what you learn along the way. Copy those clips of " the train is here " and put them altogether at some point!

Hi Ema. Thank you for the encouragement. The “trains here” compilation would be hilarious. :-)

If you 3d print some spheres with lots of smaller spheres inside each other then it will create more area for the foam to mix. The car wash foamers do it this way.

Nice Try, I think last try, two years back was better than this. Still i think instead of using cleaning unit, it would be more better result by using compressor. thanks for your video, This is Chavan from India.

there is a Concrete HARDNER that can be Painted or sprayed on or trowel on outside of AIRCRETE to strengthen the Surface of AIRCRETE & also could add FIBERGLASS fibers concrete additive or Basalt concrete fibers /strings additive to add 20%/35% more strength to AIRCRETE

Wonder what happens if you flip ends of the diffuser pipe? Curious

Not sure if possible but I think it would be cool if you made the outside of the diffuser some kind of transparent pipe to see it working from outside... you know... for science.🤷‍♂️

Hey man, I'm not sure if you are aware of public auction websites but I use the public surplus website for a lot of things I can't find at thrift stores. These are all kinds of items including vehicles from government entities like schools, libraries, police, etc. The public needs to buy more of these items because they were already paid for with tax payer money usually, they are dirt cheap (seriously, I got 8 chairs for $50 total that when bought new from the city cost $4000 each!), and if we don't buy these items that are still in working order or can be used, they throw the stuff away! When I bought the chairs I mentioned, the employee was desperately trying to find someone to take two brand new beds (still in the package and made by the same company who made the chairs so those beds were over $8k each when the city bought them). No one bid on them when they were listed on the auction website and she was not allowed to relist them so they were going to the landfill! What a complete waste!

Great tip! And it’s pretty amazing the waste in government. Thanks for watching.
