I also absolutely love fish and chips. If you want to judge a chef, judge them on an omelet. If I want to assess a restaurant I try their fish and chips. It’s not simply frying some items, it’s about the temperature and type of oil, the spices, the type and texture of fish, the batter, and most importantly the crispy crust. I’ll be trying this. Thanks guys. By the way, one of my go to places for fish and chips cuts their fish into filets about 1 1/2 “by 1 1/2” by 5or 6 inches. They fry pretty evenly. One last thing...MALT VINEGAR!!

Made some tilapia, shrimp and deep fried oysters for Miss Kathy. Also tossed some summer squash on the griddle. Note to all, fried oysters cook REALLY fast. We survived and got it done. Some things I'll do different next time. My butter burned on the summer squash🤨. My own fault. Oysters need to go down ALL at one time. By the timw I had 1/2 a dozen down, the first ones needed to flip. By the time the 8th was down, it was time to start pulling them

@waltwins4 жыл бұрын
Jack Brady oh, understood! We typically try to show right where we are, we almost always cook “low and slow,” and this was no different, we typically set the dial at about 35 after (if we were looking at a clock) - which puts it at the top of “low” and the bottom of “medium” - med/low is a common dial setting for us. Hope this makes sense and helps!

Did you get a chance to catch the video, or are you just going off the thumbnail?😉 we explain what happened to the fries, and why we couldn’t use most of what was prepped. Take care!

You have to have malt vinegar with fish-N- chips!

Haha!! I tell you, that’s my biggest regret with this one! Brett says he doesn’t care for it, to me, it’s part of the flavor profile!!🔥🔥

I agree! It's definitely what sets fish n chips apart from GOOD fish n chips!

As a stoner and man of color....the term "Black Stoner" doesn't sound good at all, sorry man

Thank you, we appreciate it and something we will be cognizant of going forward - in fact, we will push to point this out too others as it is a very common title used among other owners We apologize for the lack of sensitivity - we’ll do better!

It’s ONE WORD ... Blackstone! Not Black Stone! Maybe they should change the name of the company? Geez!

It’s all good Mike, we appreciate it, but we understand how it sounds, Griddlers and Griddle Nation is more suitable. Take care Mike!

@@mlferg so I'm assuming it's not relatable to you and for a random viewer who sees their videos they would assume the same thing.... Stoners as in pothead and you hear "Black Stoners" ummm it doesn't sound good, I wish them the best but you need to stop seeing things one way ..GEEZ

Dominiguya So, what you’re saying is if you stopped smoking pot, then it wouldn’t be offensive? . Hope you don’t get offended by them saying “My Brothuh!” Ok... I’ll shut up because neither of us will see the other’s side - anything I say is gonna sound offensive, and THAT is not my goal.
