In this video, I will show you how to make amazing orange and almond cookies that are easy, delicious, and gluten-free. These cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with almond and orange flavor. They are perfect for a snack, a dessert, or a gift for your loved ones.
To make these cookies, you will need the following ingredients:
• Almond flour - 2 cups (200 grams)
• Granulated sugar - ½ cup (100 grams)
• Salt - a pinch (⅛ tsp.)
• The zest of half an orange
• Optional, but highly recommended: almond extract
• The juice of half an orange - 2 tablespoons
• The whites of two eggs
• Powdered sugar
• Orange jam
The steps are very simple and straightforward. You just need to mix the dry ingredients, add the wet ingredients, shape the dough into balls, roll them in powdered sugar, bake them for 10 minutes, and fill them with orange jam. You can watch the video for the full instructions and tips.
These orange cookies are gluten free and lactose free. Also, the almond flour combined with orange flavor is just divine!

Amaretti cookies are so easy to prepare yet so fancy and flavorful ! I like lemons so lemon can be interchanged with the orange and topped with lemon curd. Great recipe once again ! Your blog is such a nice discovery.

They are one of my favorites, I had the great opportunity to taste them in Sicily, where they are made with local almonds and jam made from local oranges. Since then, I make them every time I get my hands on almond flour.

I make 2 batches of amaretti cookies at Christmas time every year. The addition of orange zest and juice definitely changes it up...Thank You., I will try for sure! Can you please let me know if you think this dough after mixing is moist enough to be piped with a star tip. I can't pipe the recipe I have as the dough is'n't soft enough.

Thanks for watching, Kalina! If you have a sturdy enough piping bag it should be possible. My disposable ones will definitely burst if I try it haha. You could try adding a little extra egg white to make the dough softer.

Yes you can! I actually made them with walnut flour and they were fantastic. The texture is a little different, but they tasted amazing. I never tried with coconut flour, but it tastes good, so I don't think you can go wrong there. Thanks for watching ♥

is this flour just grated almond or does it contain some other ingredients...coz I cn't find it in the stores here

Yes, it's just grated almonds. I tried making my own and it's awesome, if you want I can describe the process, it's pretty easy.

This recipe also “originated” in Italy, where they are called, “Ricciarelli.” Few old recipes actually can be traced to one country, especially around the Mediterranean and all of its connected seas, because of trade going back millennia. ;)

Hi, I'd say 1/4 teaspoon, but it depends on how concentrated it is. They usually write the ratio and how much to use on the package.

Made this 2 time, cookies come out super hard and not cooked in center. Needs baking soda or baking powder to rise in oven...

I make these often without the orange juice just either lemon or orange zest they come out perfect I add an envelope of the powder vanilla , not 10 minutes about 12 to 15 depending in your oven , I put candied cherry or an almond on top instead of jam , Hope this helps

2 tazas (200 grs) harina de almendras 1/2 taza de azùcar blanca o azùcar granulada( 100 grs) Pizca de Sal ( 1/8 de cucharadita) Ralladura de 1/2 naranja 1 cucharadita de extracto de almendra 2 cucharadas de jugo de naranja (1/2 naranja) 2 claras de huevo Azùcar pulverizada ( azùcar glass o nevazùcar) para pasar por ella las galletas antes de hornèarlas Mermelada de naranja para rellenar la indentación o el huequito de cada galleta, despuès de horneadas. Hornear en horno precalentado a 350 F (180 C) por 10 minutos
