after appointment they gave me an appointment to pick up my INE in person. how long do we have from that date on appointment to pick up my INE? or does it have to be exsctly on the date they gave me to puck it up?

Great quality (smartly done) video, thanks for the information. One quick question, some people say you can only get an INE card if you have the citizenship by birth (i.e. by descent) - in that, one cannot get an INE card if you have received the citizenship through "naturalization". Would you know if there is a way (official website, government article, etc) to validate this information perhaps...?

Hi @MarcAbela Thank you for the compliment. I can confirm that INEs are not only limited to individuals born in Mexico, as I have helped many clients acquire their INE who were Naturalized, or acquired their citizenship through decent. I don't have an official government article or website to site, just my own personal experience. (the INE website does lists a Naturalization letter as a valid & acceptable form of ID however) I hope that helps!

Hi I asked you a question about the need for an FMM form to complete the temporal visa process knowing that they were no longer in use in Guadalajara airport immigrants. I arrived in Mexico at Guadalajara airport having already obtained a Temporal visa sticker in my passport at a Mexican Consulate. I had a Notario helping with the process and he assured me that I need not worry about getting an FMM which Guadalajara airport was no longer using. He informed me that he could obtain the necessary information online to satisfy immigration in Mexico. So far all has gone well with the process and am only waiting for my card to be ready for collection. Without a notario assisting I don’t know how I could have completed this. I asked in the airport and the FMM forms were not available. Thanks for your help in answering my questions. 😊

Hi @Juan The proof of address does NOT need to be in your name (or even your family's name, for that matter). The most important thing for this appointment, as far as the address is concerned, is knowing where to locate your given address on a map and/or describing the home. I hope that helps!

Hi @longterm1841 Yes. It is possible to get your INE at a Mexican Consulate office abroad. You would just need to make an INE appointment at whichever office you prefer. 👍🏽 I hope that helps.

INE appointments are only for Mexican Citizens; through birth or naturalization.

Hi @RonaldoRonnie to apply for an INE in Mexico, you have to be a Mexican Citizen [with either a Naturalized Mexican Birth Certificate or a Mexican Passport]. You wouldn't be able to apply with your Permanent Resident card alone. I hope that helps!

HI Alia, From India i am, i was watching your video's just now, wanted to know something about Tourist Visa, having a gf is in Mexico and planning to come there to meet her and got to know...this FMM form should i fill it online to carry with me while travelling to Mexico with Visa, Please let me know. and to go Mexican tourist Visa Apply , during Visa interview Can i say to embassy officer i m going there to meet my gf, and going to stay with her and her family her know every one about me. and even she is going to give me invitation letter , and will stay with her home during stay there till whatever visa willl be mine.so if i cant carry that much money apart from Round trip Flight tickets, is it fine for me to show at immigration officer, Heard Mexican immigration hard ...and if some one call me to stay in one place with her mom.so don't think much question will be at immigration please reply

Hi @uturnlife That's pretty exciting! Your first step would be to make an appointment at your local Mexican Consulate or Embassy for a tourist VISA. If you need it, I did make a video walking you through the steps of making an appointment here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpnSZWmfgbp5psk Here is also a link that you may find helpful with all the requirements for the Mexican Consulate in India: embamex.sre.gob.mx/india/index.php/consulares/visas As far as the interview goes, I can't advise you on what or what not to say; as I don't know what exactly they are looking for, nor do I have any experience with that particular interview. My best advice is to just be kind, honest, and sincere always; it may go further than you think. & The FMM form may or may not be required upon entry into Mexico, it just depends on which airport you are flying into. There is currently a pilot program going on in Mexico at certain airports to eliminate the use of the form and replace it with a stamp in your passport.
